I’m so happy with Roxy’s character. You can see where Lola gets her deep sense of justice from but you also see that affect that growing up with a parent who so invested in the community around you sometimes to the detriment of their personal relationship can play out

Also I love seeing older black folk who are supportive of LGBTQ+ youth. Consistently using Jax’s pronouns and also showing such great insight into their character and their tendency to brush things off. What a solid way to characterize her as someone who actually cares about the people she’s helping
