Roxanne wiped a line of blood away from her nose, struggling to get back to her feet. “M-Mir,” she gasped. “I’m fine! I’m fine, I just… they caught me off guard, that’s all.”

The officers shifted uncomfortably, glancing at one another as they tried to figure out what this new girl was doing here. And why she was glaring at them.

Almost as soon as Ryou climbs into bed, Melvin will immediately roll over and cling to him. Although Ryou finds this very annoying - especially considering that the younger man has a death grip and won’t let go until morning - he still puts up with it because, heck, he’s pretty comfy.

Ryou sleeps with his legs curled up close to his chest, making himself as small as possible. He originally started doing this because of the horrible night terrors he used to have when he was young. Even though he doesn’t have these anymore, it’s a habit he hasn’t quite managed to shake yet.

Roxanne and Miranda very rarely sleep together; only whenever Amane is out hunting with Ryou for the night. When they do, Roxanne is usually the last one to fall asleep because she’ll spend hours subconsciously stroking Miranda’s hair. Weirdly enough, this isn’t something she does with Amane.

Every once and a while, Miranda will have a really bad nightmare. Roxanne’s used to this because Amane used to have a really hard time falling asleep, so she’s pretty quick to wake up as soon as Miranda starts stirring. In order to calm her down, Roxanne will softly sing her mama’s favorite song under her breath, until the older girl finally drifts off again.

🍷: Would they manipulate someone to get what they want?

She wouldn’t think twice about manipulating a stranger. In fact, she’s had to before, in order to protect her sister from getting herself into heaps of trouble. She simply doesn’t see others as being as important - lying to and tricking them wouldn’t cause her any moral dilemmas at all.

Manipulating someone she actually knows would be a different story entirely though. Not only would she struggle with the morals of that, but she’d also be very poor at it. People like Ryou or thiefshipping-plus-1′s Marik would see right through her.

Roxanne immediately tensed, looking around to make sure Ryou and Miranda weren’t around. She began to sweat, very uneasy about such a question. “Our… Our relationship…” she finally started, her voice wavering slightly before she managed to build some strength. “Well, I guess you’re technically my uncle. But I don’t know you very well yet.”

“If I really had to pick something I like about you, I’d definitely say your dedication. I could never be risk so much, at the risk of having someone hate me. That’s kind of admirable, in a way.”

“But…” Her hands tightened to fists, and she shook her head violently. “You put Miranda through so much bullshit. I can’t stand that. Why did you have to do that to her?! There had to be another way! You didn’t have to… She didn’t have to…!”

She took a deep breath to calm down, then forced herself to continue. “My first impression of you was that you were kind of… intimidating. I wasn’t really sure what to think. But now I…” She gave an uneasy laugh. “Well, I guess I’m still not really sure what I think about you. But I feel like I understand you a bit better now. You’re not as scary as you were before.”

“I dunno how I feel about you. You’ve done a lot of bad things, but I wouldn’t say I dislike you… not exactly. More like I’m kind of disappointed. If that makes any sense?”

At the next question, Roxanne immediately bristled. “I’m not hiding anything! I barely know you! Just that-!” She broke off, then started playing with a strand of short hair. “… Miranda still talks about you sometimes. Mostly bad things, obviously, but…” her expression softened, “good things too, sometimes. Very rarely, but every once and a while.”

She was quiet for a long time, and when she finally answered that last question her voice was barely audible. “I wish I could tell you… to make up with Miranda. You both need it. But I… I really don’t see that happening. Not after everything you put her through…”

Whitewashed OCs

An apology in advance, for all you wonderful people that draw my characters for me. I really appreciate it, especially when it’s an art request and you’re taking time out of your busy schedule to draw something for me, without getting anything in return. I love each and every one of you! <3

But Roxanne and Amane have dark skin for a reason. They take after their their mother - they aren’t pale like their father. So it really bothers me when they are drawn to look Caucasian. They are not white. They should not drawn to be white. If it’s a rough sketch or just an outline, that’s fine. But if there’s any shading, please do not ignore their skin tone!

So from now on, I won’t be accepting OC art if the skin tones are wrong. Again, I’m very sorry for this, but even if you drew something specifically for me, if it’s not the right character you might as well as not drawn my request at all. I know it sounds harsh, but I’ve honestly had this problem far too often. And I’m kind of on my last nerve here.

OC Headcanons That Nobody Asked For!

Roxanne was the one to teach Amane how to walk. And talk. And ride a bike. And all the other things a parent usually teaches their kid.

I've already mentioned Amane's first word in another post (Roh), but Roxanne's was a very clear shout for her "Mama".

Roxanne's official nickname for her girlfriend is Mir, pronounced like the mur that's in murder. (And yes, it's based on that one vine... I'll post a link if I come across it.)

Thiefshipping-plus-1 and I have a rabbit AU! with the Bakura family being rabbits. The names are as following: Bunkura, Rykura, Kefkura, and Mirkura.

Amane is strictly a Jason fan, while Melvin prefers Freddy. The two will get into long arguments during the Halloween season. (Which is very interesting to watch since Amane doesn't talk to him, and has to mime everything.)
