I'm curious as to why the Roxeye ship sails despite them always fighting and as you state "never have nice things"?
Roxeye are soul mates.Nobody can convince me otherwise. Clint and Roxanne are soul mates. That's why the ship sails despite them always fighting and nothing good ever happening.
They fight and bicker and hate each other, but end of the day there's no one else either of them loves more in that way. They're happiest when they're together and they're most miserable when apart.
They never have anything good going for them, mostly because that would mean giving up a part of themselves. For Clint it's everything in his life that has gone to hell and the fact that he's pretty much a walking bad luck charm. They're both terribly flawed individuals, but their flaws are what compliments the others best characteristics. When Clint is down and miserable and thinks of himself as a bad person, bad boyfriend/fiance/husband, a bad father, it's Roxanne that shows him that he's far from that and nothing like his own father. She gives him a reason to be better than he was, even if he fails at doing it.
