Roxanne attempted to kill Clint, making him suffer by using her powers to make his nightmares become real. Loki appeared to stop her and after fighting the Loki that was behind it all teleported him and Clint to safety. After fixing his mind he comforts Clint.

L - "It burns. Like butane on your skin, I know it burns.. tomorrow when you wake and remember, it shall hurt all the worse- a raw and reddened wound inside you… but it will pass. It will heal, should you give it the time to do so… I will stay.

C - “I trusted her, I let her get close to me. She used me as some toy. I loved her.”

L - “Trust be a deadly and envenomed creature… it is handing another all your blades, then giving them your back. Some of them cannot resist sheathing those swords into your spine, and one day you will learn it is better to hand them false weapons first.. but today you have been struck… and you are tired. Sleep… I will be here tomorrow, I swear it, and I shall stay for the remainder of this night as well. Rest..”

Well that’s what we do, we fight… You tell me when I am being an arrogant son of a bitch and I tell you when you are a pain in the ass. Which you are, 99% of the time. I’m not afraid to hurt your feelings. You have like a 2 second rebound rate, then you’re back doing the next pain-in-the-ass thing.

I remember when I met him, it was so clear that he was the one for me and as time went on, things got more difficult. We were faced with more challenges. I begged him to stay. Try to remember what we had at the beginning. He was charismatic, magnetic, electric and everybody knew it. He was like this hybrid, this mix of a man who couldn’t contain himself. I always got the sense that he became torn between being a good person and missing out on all of the opportunities that life could offer a man as magnificent as him. And in that way I understood him and I loved him. I loved him, I loved him, I loved him, and I still love him.
