Featured this week 8/4/2014: Roy Black 'n' Blue BNB1 For anyone that knows me, I've been a pretty huge fan of everything Roy for quite some time. Coming from a technical sewing background, there are endless things to admire about his pattern drafting, construction and finishing, not to mention his work ethic and philosophy. These are definitely high on my list of favorite Roy's to exist, and getting them at the shop is a rare thing, so it is very exciting when I get to see them. I first got a chance to see these a few days before their release in November of 2011, and they were easily my favorite before I even knew that much about denim. This pair has just come in for their first repair. The material is a 12oz Cone indigo dyed cotton canvas, and each pair I've seen come in is unique and amazing in their own way. Repairing these is almost like painting because of the range of blues I use on one pair.
