Definitely one of the most time-consuming pieces I've ever drawn - from sketch to final post it took me three weeks of June to finish 😭 Part of this was due to the fact that I had never drawn armor or colored metal before - I had to learn everything as I went, at some point starting all over again.

The second reason is certainly the fact that my health has deteriorated significantly and I simply don't have enough strength and energy to sit for a long time with my laptop and the tablet pen in my hand 🪦

You could say that this drawing of 'Knight San' is partly fanart for an RP I'm writing with one of my best friends, although the AU we created is based more on the modern vision of 'kingdom' (so he's more of a personal bodyguard than a knight)

So I've been working on this for the last 18? Maybe 19 days? Definitely closer to three weeks than two, lol 💀 I was inspired by a photo of flowers with beautiful colors, and I decided I couldn't ignore it (now I'm starting to think it might have been AI, yuck). It didn't take me long to decide who the main character of this piece would be <3 It's Ciro/Hongjoong from our (mine and my friend's) royal AU! 👑 I need to finally make a comprehensive post about every AU we have lol I've fallen off track with posting again, but I hope that despite everything I will make up for it soon! Unfortunately, my health seems to be only getting worse, and on top of that, I'm having mental health issues, which... definitely aren't making the whole process any easier, lol. I had big plans for this drawing—I was going to make a whole video about it, showing people my creative process, but it turned out that over two hours of footage was recorded not from Paint Tool Sai's window but from my browser. So, you'd be watching my mouse cursor move around the YouTube homepage for two hours. This demotivated me so much that I stopped recording the rest and I'm going to make another attempt at recording while working on the next drawing that I'm already planning in my head! Fuck my life, I guess.🤷‍♀️

It's funny because it's a fanart for a scene in one of my RPs that hasn't even happened yet XD This was my last work from 2024, finished in November. I remember trying some trick back then to help with the final colors, and I admit, I'm really pleased with the result. I used to be much more adventurous when it came to adding colors to a drawing, but then something happened and I started sticking to very limited palettes.. 💀 Ilios/San, this time as Doberman/wolf mix hybrid 👀
