@royaldresser liked for a Christmas Starter
Christmas always seemed so very busy but he could not imagine it was all that easy on the staff that had to follow his family around and prepare for it at the same time. He had settled himself into a chair next to one of the many fire places and tried to keep out of everyone’s way. He heard someone pass through the room and peaked around his chair to spot Richard. It was late and he had been quite sure everyone else had managed to get themselves to bed.
“I -do -hope you are not -planning on sleeping in -here? There are a -greater many nicer -rooms with nicer -beds -to --curl up in that I -can recommend.” He teased him but did look to him concerned, “You must be -run ragged? In the spirit of -Christmas, -can I at least -tempt you -to sit with me a -while and -give your -poor feet a -rest? No one will -hear anything -from me about it.” He promised as he nodded to the decanter he had helped himself to and the spare glass he had pulled out. He knew they were not supposed to behave as such, but it was nearly Christmas and damned if those that helped his family all year did not deserve more than a card and a pat on the back.
