I am doing a 3-D model/biographical report on Princess Diana for history (yes, I chose her!) and I am currently reading "Diana: Her True Story" by Andrew Morton, the 1992 print edition--out of both interest and for the information for my report. If you've read it before, what are your thoughts on his take on things? The book, so far, seems a bit more negative than anything. I am not quite sure if he is writing it bias-free on all parties, but I don't know how to feel about it!
Impeccable choice, m'dear. ;)
I haven't read it, but I've seen practically every documentary in relation to it and I have read excerpts, etc. I have Diana: In Pursuit of Love though.
That book is one of the most biased ones out there. Yes, it came from the person involved, but Diana was out to get revenge when she provided that information. She was not in a good place and her main aim was to tear Charles and the RF to shreds, regardless of what actually happened. Now, I am not saying it should be discounted, some things are true. But others, I think, are very exaggerated.
Anyway, I personally don't like that book, mainly because of the reasons I've explained above. :)
