With the 2020 Royal Rumble a few weeks away, I've decided to start the new year by watching the Rumbles from the first one that was held in 1988. While watching my son @_undisputedking says: "Who are these bums" 🤣🤣🤣 This was the first one with only 20 entrants, no major countdown and yeah, this Royal Rumble had no main eventers. The Hart Foundation, Jake "The Snake" Roberts and a super over Hawksaw Jim Duggan were the main names in my opinion. Even a young Ultimate Warrior was a non-factor. It was great seeing the Junkyard Dog, One Man Gang, King Harley Race, Don Muraco, Tito Santana and the rest of the wrestlers that I used to watch back in the 1980s.
