arcadia has a cat. well, owen has a cat. well, it’s a cat that sometimes visits their apartment and meows at them so it’s not really their cat as much as it is a neighborhood cat but they let it in and feed it and it sleeps at their place sometimes but it also likes to be independent

owen brings arcadia some plants for her birthday and she’s literally so overwhelmed / embarrassed that she turns red all over
arcadia seeing royce again for the first time in a year --- she really hasn’t thought that much about him after they stopped working together and he started his project to get in contact with small communities of humans in darkness zones and small settlements across earth and either bring them to the city or give them resources to defend themselves ---
and she really hasn’t thought about him much either, after that scare with the lighteater wizard they didn’t really talk, because the sudden intimacy that went with saving his life by literally dragging him out of the depths of the moon was too much for her to process, and she really... did not visit him after he recovered, only briefly through a transmission on his ghost ---
and she’s been genuinely busy with everything else, with training the city’s non-guardian defense force and kicking skolas’s ass, so when she comes to him to warn him about the fallen, she’s really not thinking about their relationship, and it really catches her off guard how friendly and kind he is to the people he’s helping, how caring and brave and smart and funny, and how didn’t she realize that he was this handsome before?
