Hi Acey! To be honest, I don't think I really have a top five? I can make a mean pasta dish (Lasagna especially) and I'm always down to make new pasta recipes (I literally just tried a, like, Southwestern chicken alfredo yesterday? Delicious, filling and cheap to make) and I can make a really good chili too? I don't know why I'm drawing the biggest blank beyond that. Most of the desserts I make are very basic though LMAO. I can make a Black Forest cake! I can make a good brownie, good chocolate chip cookie, good chocolate cake... Food Network definitely wouldn't hire me, but I have fun and I do get compliments on my stuff, so it's what counts to me. :)

And I'm glad that Edancy is still your cup of tea, I greatly look forward to seeing what else you write of them! The way you write them being in love just fills me with such softness. I kept having moments where I would read a line and go OOOUUGHHH that's so fuckin accurate- or I'd find myself discovering new little angles on their characteristics I hadn't thought about before.

But hey as a fellow creative, believe me, I get what that block is like my friend. Take it easy as much as you can, the ideas and the people who appreciate your work will still be here when you're over the dip <3

i don't think any of my retail jobs gave me holiday pay for holidays we're open if we're having That discussion. their excuse was "shorter hours" so we'd be open, say, 10-3 rather than 9-9 or something and so you only had a 6 or 3 hour shift so you shouldn't get holiday pay for such things.

Oh yeah, I've heard of stories where companies try to work around giving you holiday pay by scheduling you on a shorter shift on that particular holiday (like let's say you work a 4 hour shift and the person who comes in to take your place is also scheduled 4 hours instead of just giving you a full 8 hours for the day) and/or just cutting your hours for the entire week to make up for that one singular day in which they gave you holiday pay. Like, the discussion of holidays and holiday pay is very much a 'Here's how most companies are scummy capitalist SHIT:' TED talk topic to me LMAO.
