my opinion on;

character in general: roy!! again, fma was one of my first animes. and aside from ed, roy was one of the characters i very much enjoyed!! i loved his dynamics, his passion for his ambition, and his care for those he held close. and plus, hecking fire man... who doesn’t love it??how they play them: *slams fists on the table* BLESS YOU AND YOUR TRANS HEADCANONS!! heck....... the way your portray roy mustang as trans gives me life bc i haven’t seen a transgender anime character to date. it may not be completely canon, but heck it is in my mind. and then your writing!! man, the shit you write for him sounds like an actual script for fma, it’s fantastic!!the mun: mAX HOLY SHIT i’ve known you since the trans squad days (it’s almost a year??) and wOW MAN. so i disappeared a while back on my old accounts and during my away time i missed the shit out of you. you’re a great pal, a kind person, and a great artist!! i can’t wait to write more with you on any of our muses!!

To be honest, he’s in pretty stereotypical serial killer territory in this area: classical and opera are his favorite type of music, especially pieces that feature piano, violin, and soprano singers. Though in a modern AU, I really love the idea of him loving dark synth music (even the aesthetic behind it---perfect example: Turbo Killer by Carpenter Brut (warning for eye strain)) and symphonic metal (Nightwish, Sonata Arctica, Stratovarius, Kamelot, etc.).

As for literature, he’ll basically read anything he can get his hands on. When he’s in an academic mood he’ll read through some medical textbooks (especially those with pictures---he’s a very visual learner) or informative nonfiction; or if he’s in a lighter mood, he’ll pick up some fictional books---horror is his favorite, but he’ll also read adventures, sci-fi, fantasy, . He’s even read and enjoyed some romance novels.
