As an Emet fucker apologist RPer, I’m getting real fucking sick of seeing peeps having their OC’s mouth off to the effect of ‘beat you before, so doing it again is nbd lol’ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It’s just. So fucking infuriating to encounter when writing him. Not to mention utterly disrespectful to the source material and the way the story actually plays out. So here’s a refresher: You are not strong enough to beat Hades. You’re just not. Like, literally are not. Idk if you were sleeping during that part, or just too far up your own ass to notice, but it canonically took you calling seven other WoLs to take him on. This fight canonically required you to have 8 fucking you’s to stand a chance. And you still couldn’t have beaten him without the concentrated Light aether of an entire fucking shard on hand. It took a literal world’s worth of energy to bring him down.
You no longer have those resources to call upon. Idk how op you think your WoL OC is, but you cannot take him down again. I don’t want to tell people how to write their characters, but holy fuck your response to the idea of facing that again should not be a shrug.
If you are going to interact with villain-writing roleplayers, respect the position and power of the characters they play. If you are unwilling to allow your character to ever feel intimidated or outmatched or concerned over their chances of coming out on top, then just literally leave us alone. Write it in a fanfic or whatever, but we’re not here to give you chances to wank over how op your OC is.
