An important thing, and not a witch hunt. I'm not talking about any of my mutuals! I don't follow these blogs because I believe I have nothing to do with them, but since I find them quite too often...

It's not the first time I come across muses who are openly described as "French" in their description. I'm honestly always abashed to see that it's always because of the same reasons: seducing muses wearing fancy clothes, straddling in the streets with little dogs, using little nicknames like "chéri, darling, mon chou", drinking wines and of course... problematic, malicious and so on. We almost miss the bread under the arm at this point, or the hat and the marinière.

I appreciate people who wants to understand better my culture, but every time I see this, I'm honestly feeling very insulted and it pisses me off. My culture and nationality shouldn't be used to describe clichés or behaviors regarding a character, because it's simply a lack of knowledge in our ways and mores. Those people might believe it's flattering to create someone who's a lethal weapon and based on a nationality, but in the end, they are just using all the clichés about my culture that increase the fact they don't understand the slightest of who we are, how we work, what are our ways.

If you wish to create such a dangerous character of seduction, why using a nationality without making researches or reading articles about it in the first place? It's so problematic to spread those clichés, because in the end those people only show such an outdated and wrong SO WRONG side of my culture. I'm more than just a woman who crosses her legs and drinks wine while plotting against someone to trick them. We are way more than that.

Using clichés about any culture, even if it's for you a compliment, is a problem.

Does any of you guys ever created a character and then the actor of the FC did something very controversial, that is not something bad, but go against everything you believe, but you can’t play the character anymore, even changing the FC to other person? What should I do? I dont know if drop the character or not.

{I have an issue..}

I don’t wanna be a roleplay elitist or anything but..when I look at someone’s blog and they don’t have anything that interests me I’m not going to follow them back if they follow me. I don’t wanna be one of those people who put a whole bunch of restrictions on their blog. (Not knocking the ones who do of course. It’s your blog. It’s your decision. I respect that.) But I’m just not sure how to go about responding if someone I have no interest in rping with sends me something. Do I answer anyway? Do I just delete it? I’m so afraid of looking like an asshole even though I don’t even know anybody here personally (except like..maybe 2 people). My anxiety is through the roof.

Perhaps it’s the patch drought... perhaps it’s just a desire to try again? The recent writing I’ve been doing? Not sure... but  maybe I should post a LFRP and try again? I just don’t know... I’m struggling with the feelings of if I’m comfortable with it and if I can trust people enough to do so. *SIGH*

And if I do, Sola or Ver? Could I juggle both? The FC I’m in is... they let me just be, which is good for my ‘comfort level’ and if I have to be away for work but leaves me with really... nothing to do and no support for events or anything. I don’t know what to do. -_- Time to think hard about it.

I have all this freakin' good RP ideas, but my brain is always working that the moment my RP partner just casually abandons I'm sad because I'll never get to RP all these ideas out. :/
