Hi 2020!|01.13.2020.

Hi there! What’s up? :)

Welcome to 2020! I can’t even believe I am saying that. 2019 has passed way too fast, so it feels like I just blinked and here we are! I am so excited for a fresh new year here. I am SO READY! Can’t wait to make and share new products on our store, that we launched in 2019. Was one of the biggest events past year, since my dream finally came true.

I am so late, guys. I’m sorry I didn’t get to wish you happy holidays here on tumblr, as I was busy with life. But I really hope you had great ones :) We spent Christmas with all of our family together. Probably the only one day when we all get to see each other :D Saying goodbye to 2019 was awesome as well. Mine and my brother’s family went to a nice restaurant to celebrate it, and then we had a sleepover at his house. I was a little sad my parents couldn’t come this time, as it used to be a tradition, but anyway! It was a great end of 2019 and a nice start of 2020.

Okay, speaking of the last month. It was rather busy and exhausting, so in the end of all I felt dead, LMAO. BUT! We had two birthdays! Those who follow my instagram know that Mary turned 12 on December 12, and Grace hit 5 on December 20. Even though time has passed, I still want to cry whenever I realize how insanely fast my kids are growing up. I love and hate it at the same time, if you know what I am talking about. And this month, on 2nd of January, the twins turned 4 years old! I swear to God my heart cannot handle that many birthdays in such a small period of time. We actually didn't throw a party for them. We just invited a couple of close friends of theirs and let them have a fun time playing in the pool, as in Florida it's still hot here.

Okay, let's speak of the present. We all are really doing great! Yesterday we went to the aquarium and they absolutealy loved it (okay, maybe not Alice. The poor kid thought that all the fish would break through the glass and 'eat her'...). It's sad that Mary couldn't go with us, as she was off to Tampa with her dance group for competition for a few days (she’s coming back later today, and I’ve missed her so much, even if it was just two days.) Actually, this year I plan to focus on the family even more: going out with the family, going for trips. The kids are growing terribly fast, and I just want them to have sweet memories about their family.

And oh, we've also got some good news! We are going to Norway for a vacation at the end of this month. We have never been there, our friends who's just got back from there told us, that the country it wondeful and it woths to visit it. Besides I really want to feel real winter, since it always feels like summer all year long here, haha. Some of our kids have never seen snow, so it might be fun for them I can't wait to catch their reaction :)

“Some wednesday snapshots of the post pre-k hang me, Fernanda and Nita enjoyed today. We watched one of her favorites, Coco. Whenever the “un poco loco” song comes on she watches it on repeat, again and again. And she sing-screams along, in spanish, as loud as she can, to this (x). It was a wonderful moment to be her mother, hihi. She was so happy just being herself and so was I. Zoë was taking a nap and the bigger bugs hadn’t come home from school yet so I took my chance when I had it. It’s not very often I get to be alone with any of my kids except for Zoë. If I had my wish there’d be more hours to each day so you could have more time for all of your kids. I try my best, but with two toddlers, a middle schooler and a teenaged little brother on my plate; I’m up to my ears in kids! As a working single parent you get to be the one to carry all of your kids, you get to be there for every important event - the laughs, the love, the heartache - but you are also the one who has to carry all the workload and the stress, guilt, anxiety. Getting to spend some quality alone time with each one of them eases all of that, and I treasure these moments so much. 

On to less heavy things, I’ll be inserting the click to read more thing under my title (the date and day of the week) from now on, simply because I’m one of those people who just write and write until it’s half a wall. Since we commuicate a lot through reblogs in this community I’m thinking people will start getting pissed off at me if I reply with half a wall of text everytime. Oh, and I’m really grateful for all of you who have reached out to me and welcomed me. I greatly appreciate each one of you! I love interacting with you.

New Zealand with us ♡

The last time I posted, it was to introduce to you’ll our new home. Nothing has changed since then, we still feel as good in our new nest and I feel it’s not going to change.

We’re back from our trip to New Zealand. It was a crazy adventure, knowing it was the first time we went with our children so far from home. The beginning of the trip was a bit hectic butas soon as the jet lag was gone we enjoyed as much as we could. The kids really loved it and we did too, well, Jackson and I enjoyed the best we could while running behind our four excited little munchkins all day. The camper trip was an amazingidea, because it allowed us to move and visit some key spots in New Zealand and not stay at a specific place for three whole weeks. Driving along the coast revealed nature’s pure dramatic beauty, we found ourselves between a rocky mountainous coast with wide sand beaches with turquoise water, it was absolutely wonderful and breathtaking.

To our surprise we found a lot of activities to do with children, as sailing trips, hikes, walks around the beach and Jackson did a lot of diving too. If you ever have to go somewhere near the sea and you're like me, freaking out about the fact that your children can drown : think about swim vests ! It was a totally must have and I can tell you they wore it basically the whole trip. Of course, my eyes were on them constantly, but it helped me to let them play without fearing an accident.

We returned home last week, we’re enjoying the last few weeks before we go back to work and the children go back to school... But before that, we will celebrate our two little dolls 3rd birthday party which will take place at the end of August. The girls are totally excited and talk constantly about it. We already picked a theme, but I’ll let you’ll guess it hahaha Our two boys are doing amazingly well,too. Our little baby amazes us every day, he’s a little clown who laughs almost all day long to our greatest delight. He starts talking and walking pretty well now, and I can tell you that he is now part of the toddler band hahaha ! He follows his brother and sisters everywhere, gets in trouble with them and it’s really sweet to see !

As you can see, we’ve been enjoying our summer vacations, and I hope you’re having a great time with your family too. There’s gonna be a new post really soon, it will be a special one, but i’ll not give you any clues about it... I'll let you guess what it is about !

Welcome to my little corner of the internet! My name’s Jordan Davenport and very recently my husband Allen and I were able to welcome the most amazing child into our homes and hearts. After about a three and a half year adoption process, Wesley Davenport has finally become our son and I could not be more thrilled. I decided that I wanted to share our journey as a new family!

I would absolutely love to find some friends and learn some parenting tips from all of you other great mumblrs out there so feel free to strike up a chat any time! I can’t promise I will be active everyday, but I will try to at least be active once a week minimum!

Just a little bit about us under the cut!

 I’m 26 and my husband is 28, we’ve been married for about 5 years now though we have known each other far longer. We were set up by a couple of friends, though we didn’t quite hit it off right away. That’s a pretty long story, but feel free to ask! My husband is a firefighter and one of the bravest and dorkiest men I have ever met while I am a lifeguard and a huge dork as well. We decided to opt for adoption when we found out that it would be incredibly difficult for me to get pregnant. Knowing we probably wouldn’t have any children of our own was a huge blow but we refused to give up hope. Wesley is everything we could have asked for and more, a sweet darling little boy who we loved from the very start.

3.24.18 // Sick Baby

Usually on the weekend, Lance and I try to plan something for the kids. Either we go to the park, ride our bicycles or even take a walk around the block. Today we couldn’t do anything because our poor Jezika is sick.

She didn’t leave all day today. She’s just been in her bed coughing. I would sit in her bed and comfort her until she fall asleep.

The one thing I hate about one of the triplets getting sick is that I have to Lysol the room almost every other hour because the other girls has to sleep in there. Hopefully Jezika feels better.

3 M O N T H S

Can you even believe it?! Evelyn turned 3 months old this week. I’m not pleased with this ‘growing up’ business. Does anybody know how to make it stop?

I’ve not posted many specific updates on Evie, because admittedly, the first few months are just sleeping, pooping, and eating, (and I’m not just talking about the baby). But at around this time is when things begin to get interesting. So here are a few milestones that our darling girl has reached this past month or so.

She’s getting better at coordination! Finally, homegirl is beginning to figure out how to stop her arms and legs from being so jerky, and she is loving having this much control.

Evie is beginning to enjoy (not sure that’s the right word) tummy time! She can certainly endure it for longer periods of time, whereas before she would cry the minute she realised she was no longer on her back, (it didn’t usually take long before she was snuggled up to me again).

She’s starting to recognise the concept of cause and effect, particularly when we use wrist rattles. If you watch her closely enough, you can see her face scrunch up in deep thought and her genius-baby brain working super hard, thinking “if I shake my hand, this squishy thing on my arm has surely gotta make a noise”. It makes my Mama heart proud.

She had her second round of immunisations. I’m not about to get into the ‘pro-vax/anti-vax’ argument here, all I know is I’m doing my best to protect my baby and that’s what matters, mmmkay?

Her smiles are becoming more genuine, as opposed to just an indication that she has gas or is pooping, and this is one of the most rewarding parts of having a baby. If you’re feeling crappy, your baby’s smile is the one thing that can without a doubt reassure you that you’re not doing as bad as you think.

We love watching her grow everyday, and can’t wait to see what her curious little mind is ready to discover next.

We're back! Again. We tend to disappear and we're sorry but life gets busy. We haven't gotten good pictures in a while except for this one on Halloween! Aaliyah was Georgie and Troye was Pennywise! We really like how this picture turned out, and that's really all we have for now, a proper update coming soon!
