New Lands

@kaibagirl007 Rika slowly stepped out from the sleek black car that had taken her to here, holding a hand up above her eyes as she gazed up at the tall sky scapper that was before her. Oh wow. This place looked even more impressive in person like this. Yip. She had made the right choice to come here, even if some of the others may have been against it. Japan was quite impressive and this sky scraper just added to her impressions. Humming softly, she placed her phone back inside her purse and made her way inside the building, trying not to look too much like a tourest but it was difficult to hide her joy as she wondered inside. Of course she’d been in grand skyscrapers many times before. Perhaps she was simply more joyful about being outside, in a new country, a new city with all types of new possiblities. Oh she couldn’t wait to get started! Smiling, in her natural kind manner, she walked over to the nearby reception desk and handed her I.D over. “Good morning. I have an appointment with Mr Kaiba? I believe I’m about twenty minutes late but I’m more than happy to wait”. She spoke with a confidence that seemed to match her bright appearence even if inside she was quite nervous. Usually she would have asked for V to join her on a visit such as this but he’d been pretty busy with work and she didn’t wish to interupt that. With a small polite bow, she took her seat in the nearby waiting area, pulling her phone back out and logging into the chat room to see how everyone else was doing at the moment, though it seemed as though no one was inside the chatroom at the moment. Hmm. Well perhaps they were off exploring their new surroundings too. Oh well. She’d just need to get through this by herself then.

A soft smile graced her features. Given his response, she had been right in thinking that V was still remaining quiet about the truth behind her vanishing. However, this was a little risky but she hid her nerves well as she walked over and gently pulled the young hacker into a warm embrace, “It’s a long story...but I have missed you dearly. Will you come with me?”

“Ray”. A soft sigh as she stepped closer, tilting his head gently to one side as she examined the wound in more detail. She didn’t like that he was lying to her but for now she simply wished to make sure that the wound was cleaned and taken care of. Gently, she took hold of his hand and lead him into a small room behind her own, motioning for him to take a seat on a stool as a first aid box was fetched. Carefully, she knelt down, padding at the small cut with a damp cotton wool bud, concern the only evident emotion on show. “Ray. If anyone harms you, you need to tell me. You are the most important person to me. I wouldn’t be able to cope if something were to happen to you. - You understand, correct?”

She could not restrain herself from delivering the harsh slap against the hackers cheek in retaliation for having spat out such perfectly good elixir. It had been an automatic response and one that caused her to tutt a little as she rubbed at her hand with the other, the stinging pain just adding to the bitterness building within. “Luciel. Why would I ever wish to kill you? Do you no longer care for Saeran? Do you not wish to stay here with him?”

This would mark a new beginning. It was a lie that she wished to turn into the truth. Could one truly get rid of their past demons by burnings down the source of such lingering darkness? Would she ever be able to find that peaceful state of mind that had only been granted within the sanctuary she had built for herself inside Magenta? Even now as she watched the flames dance before her, that inner voice spoke of her failures, of her mistakes. Could she truly escape from this fate? Would she be able to lean on V? She sighed and turned back towards V, eyes widening ever so slightly at the manner in which he seemed to be falling apart right before her eyes, her heart pounding so fast, so loud, that she was sure that he too much be able to hear it. Was he afraid? Was he having second thoughts? He’d promised to stay, promised not to leave her again but had she been a fool to believe in such words? She reached out and gently took hold of his hand, staring at him with wide eyes as she softly whispered the repeated words of her promise. She didn’t wish to be alone. She would do things differently. She’d become the perfect little doll if it meant her sun would no longer leave her side. “...your mother?”, she glanced between V and the fire, slowly allowing for the dots to connect as he stepped closer and wrapped her arms gently around his form, “...I’m sorry. We should leave then. We don’t need more demons chasing after us...”

She should have known that he was going to rebellious. It was a mistake that she would not make again. She walked quickly from the cells and climbed the stairs two at a time. The place had only just been finished so there were only a few people around as she hurried through the corridors - none of whom had seemed smart enough to grab hold of a running child. “Saeran!” She frowned as a gust of wind came from her side, opening the door and glancing around the darkness, only to gasp as she saw the broken window. They were on the second floor at this height! Panicked, she ran over to the window, throwing the window open as she leaned outside, eyes widening at the bloodied figure below. After everything she had done for him, here he was getting himself injured when there was no need to be so scared. Quickly, now half running, Rika hurried down to the entrance of the mansion and out towards the garden, kneeling down in the grass next to Saeran and wrapping her arms tightly around him, pulling the smaller boy against her side as she gently flicked some of the glass free from his hair. “There,, there. There’s no need for you to be so scared...oh...you’ve hurt yourself pretty badly”, she hummed and rocked him gently, doing her best to try and calm him down, “Let’s get this all cleaned up, shall we?”

I had seemed as though it would take much longer for Zen to finally give in. Rika was no fool. She did not believe that the actor was as weak-willed as Searan had claimed and each time she had traveled to the cells to check on him, it had hurt to see how he would be clinging on. It was a relief therefore when he had finally stopped fighting back. To be able to take him out from those cells and into a room of his own - it felt somewhat like having a member of her family return back to her side. A beauty such as Zen’s did not belong trapped underground in a dirty old cell. Instead, the actor had been moved into one of the grand bedrooms upstairs, placed under silk sheets to rest while the savior herself checked in on his recovery from time to time. At the moment, she had been placing a few flowers into a vase by Zen’s bedside, turning to face him as she heard him begin to stir finally. “Good morning Zen”

Of course she was mad. She had hoped that Sehun would have advanced in his learning by now but yet another one of her beloved believers was dead and it was partly her fault for having placed so much faith within this boy’s skills. However, she wasn’t one to raise her voice unless she was pushed to her extremes. No. Her weapon of choice was kindness and soft words. There was no need to express her disappointment when Sehun was obviously already upset by his action. Her arms gently pulled him closer, one hand gently patting the back of his head, trying to bring him some form of comfort. One could only learn from their mistakes. It was impossible to undo the taking of a life. “Now my Child. What have I spoken of before? You can only learn from mistakes that have been made. If we forever live in the past then happiness shall never find us”, she gently pulled back, glancing towards the believer who had just perished. It was a loss but one that might have been needed in order for Sehun to learn. “I trust you know as to why he died? Take that knowledge and use it to your advantage. I have faith in your abilities”
