‘ talk to me. ’ mark to wren
Wren wasn’t good at talking, not when it came to something that addressed her feelings. How exactly was she going to tell her boyfriend that she didn’t feel like she deserved this romantic gesture of his? The thought of breaking down her walls and addressing some tough issues she had was not something she felt comfortable talking about with Mark just yet. Vulnerability was difficult and she already regretted letting herself show it enough for him to get concerned. He was a sweet guy, nearly perfect in every way, maybe he would understand…but she couldn’t take that risk in case he didn’t.
So she took a deep breath and shook her head, a smile on her face that hid any sort of pain that she might have been feeling. “There’s nothing to talk about. I’m fine, you’re a sweetheart for doing this for me.” She told him, placing her hand on his cheek and leaning up to press her lips against his before slowly trailing kisses down to his neck. “How about instead of talking we do something a little more fun? What do you say? I’ll do that thing with my tongue that you really like.”
