“No?” Isaac continued his teasing with a smile. “So, you really didn’t want to be alone with me.” But miss Mizuno was getting flustered and it was unkind to push a joke much further. He stepped back and returned to the seat in the secluded part of the library. 

“I jest. I’m here for the same reason.” He held up his notebook then plopped back on his stack of texts. “The school is surprisingly noisy…” In a perfect world he’d have been studying out in the courtyard, but alas, t’was not meant to be. “If you’d like we can share the table and both enjoy each other’s silence.”

With the threat of a forced kiss by a stranger gone the demon girl began to calm. And that’s when the surge of irritation hit her. Who did this jerk think he was!?

“Of course my answer is no! I don’t know you!” Ami hissed, cheeks growing darker as salt colored curls fell into her rosemary eyes. “Is this something you do often? Harass random girls for kisses?” Maybe that was a bit harsh, but her brain wasn’t working in the haze of her embarrasment.

Isaac flinched back from her outburst. “Please, I assure you this isn’t a habit of mine.” He waved his hands defensively while wearing a sheepish grin. “I apologize for upsetting you though. I didn’t mean to.” Probably best to not give her the princely act like he did with most woman.
