Long time no post!
Lately I've been obsessed with Yume 2kki and it inspired me to finally get into rpgmaker2k. There's this field next to a cemetery that I love to visit so I'm working on a map inspired by it. It's a really special place but I can never share it with anyone because it's so hard to get to.
This is my first time making a map so if anyone sees this and would like to share tips or guides please do! Events, controls, and variables are still very confusing.
Making a full game seems really daunting so I don't have any plans to start an entire project. If this map turns out playable I might post it to itch.io though! I'm still figuring out how to design props for maps so I'd want to redraw and omit some of this stuff too. I really struggle with organizing and committing to complex projects so it's been really nice to get a feel for map-making in a low pressure way!
[ID: 1. A short looping clip of an rpgmaker scene. Pixel rain falls over a cold landscape composed of lush grass, puddles, and patches of dry tall grass. The puddles reflect dark grey clouds. On the left, three dark pine trees loom. In the center of the video sits a grey cat with white eyes. 2. A looping gif of an area with the same atmosphere and rain. This time a brown cat with orange eyes sits next to a moss covered bench. A brown tabby and grey cat wander in the bottom left. 3. Another looping gif of a similar landscape. This time the cat is black with orange eyes and dark pine boughs frame the scene. The cat sits next to another bench, a battered vending machine, and a pile of rocks. End ID]

If your game is made in RPG Maker 2000/2003 then there is a 100% chance it’s going to catch my eye more since I grew up with those and have an intimate understanding, appreciation and respect for the work that goes into them!
Hmm... anyone knows how to see Japanese text in RPG Maker 2000? There are a couple untranslated Japanese texts in Kioku Shoujo, but I can’t see the symbols, so I can’t do anything to translate it. I have AppLocale and such, so I don’t know what to do, uhm...
BTW, I finally know what that puzzle meant, thank you guys for telling me, so after checking a bit all the translation, I’ll go to beta-testing.

Aquí hay una guía hecha por Vgperson de que objeto consigue cada cosa, sin embargo, arruina todo el concepto del juego, verla a su propia discreción.
