Cupid Calamity || Open

He’s not entirely sure why he’s at work without his clothes on, but Benjy doesn’t entirely mind. And if he’s being honest with himself, it’s not entirely out of character. Besides, it’s not exactly a stressful situation. No one else is around and there’s something surprisingly freeing about being nude at the office and alone. 

Or at least he thinks he’s alone.

Benjy hears a door slam somewhere down the hall away from his cubicle and peeks his head around the corner to look in the direction of the sound.

“Hello?”

Cupids Wreak Havoc

Fellow Witches and Wizards, 

It has come to the Ministry’s attention that, despite the many security measures in place, a breech in the smuggling of Magical Beasts has occurred. A still unnamed smuggler or smugglers has illegally transported Rogue Cupids into the United Kingdom. While the Auror squad is still on the case, we have reasons to believe the intentions behind this act were more....joking than malicious. The Ministry has been able to contain the Cupids but the effects of these beasts, while watered down, might still pose a threat to the general population. 

It is to be advised that individuals use EXTREME discretion in regards to any potential love match until the Cupid’s magic can be fully countered. It is also to be advised that, during this time, individuals might experience dreams if the...non-platonic variety, pertaining to but not limited to romantic affairs with partners that are not their own, events and acts they are not open to/have not tried with current partners, rendezvous with former partners, fraternization with enemies, etc. etc. While the ministry would like to assure you that these are, in fact, just Cupid related figments of the imagination, we, legally, cannot directly advise against following up on these fantasies, but, AGAIN, want to caution and remind you that that’s exactly what these are-fantasies.

Any individuals who spot a Cupid at large are advised to alert the Ministry at once. Any individuals with information regarding the smuggler or smugglers, please contact Alastor Moody at his office at earliest convenience.

The Ministry apologizes for but is ultimately not responsible for any confusing emotions or strains in relationships caused by this outbreak. Medi-witches and Healers at St. Mungo’s have been de-briefed and are standing by to assist if need be. Please remain calm, stay alert and try not to let this put too much of a damper on Valentine’s Day.

The Event

From Sunday, August 4th through Wednesday, August 14th, any ship between two consenting players is game! In order to keep with canon and not have everyone in turmoil, the events of the ship, whether romantic, smutty, or somewhere in-between, will happen in a dream caused by the Cupid Calamity.  All bets are off! Well, almost. While whatever you and your crackship partner decide to do is absolutely fair game, please note that this doesn’t include illegal acts (incest, pedophilla, non-con, etc.) and, again, both players have to be game for the crackship to sail. Drabbles or self-paras written about one character interacting with another are also okay, as long as the other player has signed off and the admins have been notified. 

Ultimately, this event is to celebrate and explore our creativity when it comes to shipping and to have fun. Whether or not your character remembers their dream (or perhaps is inspired by it) is totally up to you and can absolutely come into game play later. As always, with any questions, please contact the main.

We will not be accepting any applications during the run of the event to fully focus, so any lurkers and/or dreamers reading this, get your applications in before then!
