Leia chuckled some and shifted on her feet. "Yeah, still working at the same ol' grind. Luckily my boss doesn't look at me like I'm some dumb little novice anymore!"

Which was becoming really problematic but, in the end all of her persistence paid off in nice dividends.

“You must have been really working hard for that recognition. I’m still treated as a little fish, even though I’m up with the sharks now.” The old dogs at Lezareno were not ready for Isaac to be the big boss any time soon.

“You sure pick strange times to hang out around town.” Leia mused with her hands comfortably resting behind her back.

Isaac froze. He’d just finishing up a mission for Aeon. The knife he used was still on him, tucked away in the sheath on his lower back.

“Leia! Hi!” He turned around to greet her warmly. “I just am on a snack run.”

“So you want to tell me you disappear for weeks on end because you vacation a ton? C’mon, I wasn’t born yesterday.”

“What if I did travel a lot, vacationing aside? My father travels for work frequently, so he usually has me join him.” Partial lie, he did join his father for work, but they usually stayed within Altamira. Though Leia still didn’t know he hailed from another world.

There was that possibility, of course, but he had seen a figure ghosting at his periphery for some time; long enough to grow at least somewhat suspicious. One did not live in this part of town without developing at least some manner of caution. 

“I find it peculiar that we’d the same detours in mind,” Richard answered, a polite smile on his face and yet his expression was almost a cold one. “I cannot think of anyone who would go so far out of their way simply to pass by the orphanage, when the path across 5th street would have them here in less than half the time. Perhaps you’ve taken an interest in the recent rumours going about?”

Hey, wasn't that the blue haired stranger she had run into a few weeks ago? Casually Leia approached the young man with a smile. "Back in town?"

Isaac turned and recognized the girl speaking to him. “Yes, I am. I hope you’ve been doing well since we last met.”
