- finished the design. Boomer is tall as heck but still look short side to Butch. fun fact: Boomer got the tattoos for them. Butch hand is burned due to his acid power.

The concept of the Rowdyruff boys is just SO wild and cool to me, man…

Like, think about it. When they were first created, they were mean and vicious and all (their literal first purpose was apparently to « kick some butts »), but back then, they weren’t exactly on the same level of WICKEDNESS as they are on later seasons.

Mojo Jojo’s reasons were bad, sure: he wanted superpowered boys to beat up and rival his life-long mortal enemies, the Powerpuff Girls— but mostly, they were petty.

Like, oh, you’re stronger and more powerful and more synergistic and have never once been defeated by my intellect? Here, I’ll bio-engineer your EXACT matches and rival— basically boy versions of you, except they’ve no morals, no faith, and no sense of purpose outside of violence. That’ll show you.

And then these creations died. Unfortunate, but Mojo had already rejected them for their failure. So he didn’t bother trying with them again.

Here’s where HIM swoops in. Because Him, fabulous embodiment of All Evil, saw potential in the little monsters that were the Rowdyruff boys.

So he brought them BACK. Him adopted them, and that’s why I think the Rowdyruff Boys were MUCH meaner and violent after their resurrection!

Brick became self-absorbed, prideful, cruel and purely evil, Butch became a rabid, bloodthirsty, ITCHY-FOR-A-FIGHT gremlin-thing (no, seriously, he was twitching all over the place), and Boomer. Well, he’s constantly being bullied by Brick and Butch, so it’s hard to tell, but it’s clear he’s not THAT different from them! I mean. He’s CLEARLY having fun too!

So yeah, I REALLY think my theory is right— just a theory, though.

Anyways, I genuinely adore the concept of the Rowdyruff boys, even outside of them being used as shipping materials for the girls. Obviously, I’m not gonna lie, I also ship them with the Ppgs, but I also have a lot of fun imagining the three of them together in their everyday lives, grown or not. Kind of like the Powerpuff Girls, but it’s Rowdyruff centered.

I wish we’d gotten more of them, they were the perfect villains… with Him, and Princess, of course.

- bricks magma hair like is spiky cuz it represents dried spiky magma like resting lava, and his hair curls or maybe his hat has built in horns/sharp teeth, hair flares up when completely angry - Boomers eyes are completely black no pupil because he built like eldritch horror also has a Steven universe star on his shirt cuz he likes the guy, thin straight teeth like piano keys - Butch' has the sharpest teeth outta all of them razor sharp like small thin, errr also hair curls sometimes or stands up depending on mood, can retract sharp teeth until his canines are the only thing sharp - They all have forked tongues, incorporate fluff in their clothing like him belt design via Him inspired - Chest fluff for the boys is a 𝗆𝖺𝗒𝖻𝖾 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝖺𝗅𝗅 𝗍𝗁𝗋𝖾𝖾 𝗁𝖺𝗏𝖾 𝖼𝗅𝖺𝗐𝖾𝖽 𝖿𝖾𝖾𝗍 𝗍𝗁𝖺𝗍 𝖼𝖺𝗇 𝗋𝖾𝗍𝗋𝖺𝖼𝗍. Their eyes glow a shade of green in the dark bit with like their colors as well
