Cutman stared down the barrel of the toaster as it hummed and glowed and fired, only for someone to tackle him at the last second, knocking both of them to the ground. A dumpster several yards behind them exploded.
"What kind of toaster is THAT?" Megs yelled from on top of him. Ah, so it was the new kid. Risky move, sticking out their neck for him like that.
"Oh, just a little something I cooked up. It's amazing what you can do with a double switchback circuit." Roll smiled, and took aim again.
Cut yelped and covered his head, only for Megs to wrap his arms around him, and roll both of them out of the way. The unsteadiness in the younger bot's limbs told Cut it would not happen again. "A double switchback? You have a power buffer in there too?"
"Of course! Unlike my brother, I'm not stupid. Now, hold still-ah!" Roll's third shot never went off, as Gutsman, the lug, had finally lunged forward, scooping her off the ground and launching her across the street. There was a distinctive clang of her landing inside a bin.
"Nice toss, Gutsman!" Cut climbed to his feet, taking the time to help Megs up as well. Proto's little brother still looked unsteady, but managed to stand on his own. "Thanks for the saves, little sir, but you should stay back for this one. She's vicious."
