Even though baking and cooking was her number one hobby, Laney did have a life outside of the cafe. Although she enjoyed the time she received with friends and family, she also cherished a little solitude. On her days off, when she wasn’t hanging out with friends, she would go somewhere alone to take in the silence or play her harp.
It wasn’t a secret that she liked to play instruments, but it wasn’t something that she bragged about either. She saw it as a form of leisure and way to unwind without the presence of others.
Today, she found a spot in the meadows where the breeze was nice and it was not a long ways from the water. She could see the shoreline from where she was sitting. Laney always found the scenery she was sitting in to be inspiring.
Her hands reached over and plucked a few of the strings to make sure it was in tune. Humming a little, she closed her eyes and began playing a simple melody to get warmed up.
