the happy place is taking a toll on the risemonger
I’ve been watching old Whose Line clips to hype myself up for the new season of OTS next week
Whoever gave Jon permission to look this good needs to revoke that ASAP.
Listen Jon, I didn’t wanna be crying when I’ve got class in the morning but here we are.
SOWC19, Day 13: Hell
@blackirisposts
Fandom: Rooster Teeth, On The Spot
Word count: 430
Warnings: demons, hell, fire.
Synopsys: On the spot in hell draws the attention of a wider audience than Jon expected.
Jon sat alone in his office as he typed away at his computer. There was a sudden burst of flames from the floor that caused Jon to jump back out of his chair, as the large flames started to die down a figure appeared from within them. Jon stared wide eyes as someone stepped out of the flames closer to him.
"Hello there." Extending their hand the person made direct eye contact.
The person seemed inhuman, despite being slightly shorter than Jon their legs seemed too long for their torso, their skin seemed tight and although they weren't overly thin they seemed boney. Their eyes bore holes into Jon, something about them unnerved him, it took him a moment to realize it was because the iris was so blue it almost seemed like it was glowing.
"Hi?" Jon hesitantly shook their hand, the person tightened their grip.
"We're very big fans of your show." They grinned wide revealing teeth that seemed just a little too sharp for comfort.
"Who is we?"
"Hell, of course, we heard about your little theme this last season. We think it was to die for." Their grin seemed to widen farther than possible.
Jon tried to pull his hand from the person's grasp but failed.
"Of course we were all disappointed to hear of its end. We're all hoping you plan to bring it back."
"Unfortunately we decided to take a different direction with the next season." Jon didn't know exactly why he'd said that he knew he should've lied but the words were already leaving his mouth by the time he realized what he was saying.
Pulling on Jon's hand the person leaned in while simultaneously drawing him closer.
"Well now, that can't do. Perhaps we could make a compromise?"
Flames shot up around both of them as Jon tried desperately to get away. As the flames subsided Jon found that he was no longer in his office. All around him was fire and brimstone, pools of lava bubbled as demonic creatures crawled out of them.
"Welcome to hell, my friend. If you agree to do a few hundred shows for us we'll leave you alone for a while."
"Am I dead?"
"Don't be silly, if you were dead we'd have you forever. No, your very much alive but you are stuck here until I decide to return you."
"How long will that be?" Jon pulled at his shirt as he looked around.
"Time doesn't pass here that same as it does on earth, but from our perspective, it'll be a long, long time."
