It really sucks when you try to give honest opinions on the "Rate the Character above you thread" for characters that have no uniqueness, a plain and simple design, and absolutely no information tied to them, but then the person below you just gives you the worst and lowest rating ONLY BECAUSE your rating was low to the person before you. Sorry I want to be honest and not another drone of "I'm only giving you a good rating so your feelings aren't hurt!!11!!"

I know this exactly.

I was always giving 1 and 2 on these threads to the people who posted their generic dog characters. You know, the ones that are a full solid colour, but oh, just maybe have a star on their ass to make them “unique?” Yeah, people didn’t like that. So I always got low ratings on my characters. Some of mine from that time weren’t really that great either, but some were, and on those ones I used to get the comments of “just because” or some shit with it. Making an obvious jab that they were saying “Enjoy your low rating because you’re a dick” without actually saying that.

I also used to gives zeros especially when I really did not like the characters, but I couldn’t do that either. But fuck it, I did anyway.

Those types of threads are just meant to be circle jerks where no rating will ever be below five.

When will people learn to just be honest and learn to accept the difference of opinions instead of just constantly agreeing to be nice?

redlobco is so rude ?? "Black and purple is a common color combination" is a legit comment in her rate the character post. Yet she posts a character with purple, and guess what? Black. "The design is over done." .. There's barely any design there on the character above. I don't see why she had to use "I don't care much for the story" .. Could you get anymore rude? Your character isn't any better. Just airbrushed black and three items. Rant over. It's stupid how people rate characters like that.

When I used to post on the RTCAY thread, I was always rude, but heh, never like this. Nor was I this stupid with what I say.

Any colour combination can be considered common, and there’s really nothing wrong with them honestly. Colour combination rarity doesn’t determine if it looks good.

A simple design is too complex? What, are they into the whole: Character is a solid colour with a different solid colour for an underbelly? Because those starter designs have nothing to them. [No offense guys, they’re just the plainest of plain and you can’t get anymore boring than that.]

I can understand about the story part though, I never really care to read them and I don’t really care much for them. Last I checked, there was nothing stating you had to include one, read one, or reflect back on one in your response, so I never bother with them. But you know, you don’t have to just go and say it directly to the person.

Airbrushed though? Any strictly airbrushed character gets a -50/10 by default.

I tell you, some people need to get of their high horse. They were stupid enough for even thinking they belonged there.
