Attempting to figure out the RTGI addition to my reshade settings. Yeah, not sure this is fun. Most photos look overly bright and the lights never seem to come from the right direction.

Wait, what's that?
Fixing The Sims 4 with Marty's Mods shaders
its SO cool that dark souls 2 is getting that RTGI mod that lets it have actual lighting omg
It looks great!
I was at a loose end so I decided to try out Marty's updated shaders in Planet Zoo.
Shaders used (in order):
Launchpad (utility)
ReLight
RTGI
AA & Sharpening
Prod80 Bloom
The Moods MultiLut (LUT 12)
Pirate Vibrance
Cinematic DoF
Deband
Prod80 Film Grain
Comparison with/without ReShade
Comparision with ReShade without ReLight/with ReShade with ReLight - I added a coupe of lights up in the tree clearing at the end of the path to draw the eye towards it. You can use it for environmental interest and not just for dramatic portraits. The new ambient lighting setting is a lovely addition to the shader.

Reality Check Explores Real Time Global Illumination
I don’t know much about this subject, but I can tell that simulating real-world light would be quite an accomplishment. All I can really do is show this video again.
Reality Check is part of a series hosted by GameSpot. If you liked it, then you should definitely check out the rest of the episodes.
