Personally, I really like the movie Road to Ninja. It was very interesting to see the Konoha 12 with different personalities, What I loved the most was seeing Naruto with his family that part was really emotional. However, something I didn’t like was Sakura complaining about her parents in front of someone who is an orphan; I think there are certain boundaries that should be respected; I also really liked Menma he’s like a less idealistic, more skilled version of Naruto, And of course, I was fascinated by the Road to Ninja version of Hinata. What I liked the least was seeing Sasuke acting like a playboy; that just didn’t feel right to me
Hi anon!
Yes, Naruto with his family is probably the best part of the movie. As for Sakura, complaining about her family is sadly not something new; she already did that in the manga with Sasuke. However, that's also part of her development in the movie, as she comes to the realization that family is important. I completely agree with you that some boundaries should be respected.
It's interesting to know you liked Menma; I didn't really care for him, but that's okay if we disagree. What fascinated you about this version of Hinata? It's really the reverse of her personality in the manga, and they couldn't be more right. As for Sasuke, they could have definitely taken another route. But I think it was mostly to give Sakura "what she wanted": no parents, being on her own, popular, liked, and having Sasuke. This Sasuke was romantically interested in her, but it felt superficial, like everything in her life within the genjutsu. So it makes sense, even if this Sasuke seems weird.
Maybe it's strange, but I liked the fact that Sakura has a significant role in that movie. In the other movies I've seen, she mostly just hits, sometimes screams, and doesn't do much. And in the last, she's used to play the cupid between Naruto and Hinata... oh well.
