By the time she was through ordering her coffee and food, the cashier was trembling. “Idiot” She spat as she grabbed her purchases and went over to the outdoor table that had an umbrella in the table. Can she go just one day without having to converse with people that had less that a few brain cells?
She may have to start up smoking, she had her chakra supressed so she couldn’t fry people with her lightening anymore, what a bummer. She sighs and finally relaxing she hums as she opens her coffee and puts 5 packets of sugar in it. She saw kiba walking towards her, her death glare makes him do a 180 and walk the other way.
She bit into her gooey cinnamon roll and closes her eyes and moans in pleasure. She had the biggest sweet tooth.
that NS was all happy about RTN being shown again starting this month.
and then i thought about how NH/SS are canon now and i let my mind wander off to thinking about how those two ships (along with the other canon ships) would play out in that verse?
i have a few headcanons about how it'd go down.
namely, for SasuSaku...
1, Charasuke has always had a crush on Sakura, they are team mates, and have known each other all of their lives just like in the real world. because of Sakura's "Hero's Daughter" status, she's coveted by all the guys in their academy class, and mostly ignores them all, including Charasuke. she does have a slight crush on him, as well (though she won't willingly admit to it) but can't get anywhere near him because of the girls hanging around him all the time.
it's after she disappears and the whole mess with Menma and the masked man goes down that he realizes he cares about and even possibly loves her. however, he doesn't know that the Sakura that was captured isn't the same as his Sakura. regardless, he finds himself on her balcony the very next morning, to make sure she's alright. she thinks his behavior is a little strange, but lets it slide. gradually, they begin spending more and more time together. eventually, he confesses to her, with a sweeping, grand romantic gesture, which secretly wins her over completely.
just a year later, they get engaged and married, Sakura finds out she's pregnant with their daughter Sarada, shortly after returning from their honeymoon.
Charasuke's the most affectionate husband and father EVER. he enjoys teasing Sakura, and making her blush at any opportunity, addressing his wife with a plethora of affectionate pet names like "honey" "baby" "sweetheart" etc. he works inside the village, so he's hardly ever away from home, but always makes sure to send back mountains of gifts for his girls when he does have to go somewhere. Sarada's primary babysitter is her uncle Itachi and her grandparents.
Sakura too spends more time at home, but does volunteer at the hospital every now and then, focusing her energy on her new family.
Naru (er,) MenHina
just like the real Hinata, Hinata has always had her eye on Menma. as the heiress to the Hyuuga clan (having demonstrated an immense talent and proficiency for the clan's techniques and use of the Byakugan at a very young age) she was always kept busy with training, Hiashi working hard to sharpen her into a suitable leader.
though he didn't need to do much polishing. Hinata was blessed not only with strength and courage, but incredible intelligence and skill, a natural born leader, and the pride and joy of the main branch. which is in sharp contrast to Hinata's younger sister, Hanabi who was written off as a failure at a young age, being weak and shy from birth, eventually deemed unfit to lead.
despite the fact she hates him, and sometimes they barely get along, due to Neji's open attraction to her, Hinata often would leave his watch when they were younger to hang out with the other children. particularly, Menma, even though she was advised not to.
though Menma had his parents as support, the third hokage still feared that one day, the tailed beast inside him could get loose, causing a wave of death and destruction to the hidden leaf. for that reason, Menma was sought by the 'masked man' and eventually kidnapped. Hinata was increasingly concerned about his absence and asked anxiously everyday if there was any news about his whereabouts, trying her hardest at the same time not to reveal her hidden feelings for him.
when "Menma" mysteriously reappears once again, and the masked man's entire plot was revealed, Hinata was the first person to see him at the hospital, and visited him daily afterwards while he recovered. though Menma found her presence a bit overwhelming at first, he adjusts and becomes more comfortable. Hinata eventually confesses to her feelings for him, which surprises him as he thought Hinata didn't even know he existed or that she'd forgotten about him a long time ago (since he was gone for a number of years) happy to have been acknowledged, the two begin to spend more time together, eventually beginning to date and eventually becoming engaged and married.
a year later, Hinata gives birth to two children, Boruto, and Himawari. after becoming a mother, she settles down and becomes calmer and quieter, more gentle and motherly. however, between her and Menma, she's still the stricter parent and handles most of the discipline. (the kids are very well behaved for this reason!) Menma's apprenticing under the current Hokage, his former sensei, Kakashi Hatake, after Tsunade's retirement, and learning how to be a husband and father. when Hinata has to deal with clan affairs, and Menma's working, the kids are either left with Minato and Kushina or Hiashi and Hinata's mother.
SaiIno
not as much to say about this pair, Ino's shy nature and Sai's lack of art skills seemed to pair perfectly. she encourages him with gentle smiles, and motivational words, which works with his social awkwardness. she's also introduced him to ikebana (flower arrangements) as a way to spread a little color around. around the same time as the other couples, they get engaged and married, with Ino giving birth to a son named Inojin.
ShikaTema
basically, they get together as part of the Ino-Shika-Chou trio set up, Temari's a bit more reserved and not quite as brash, patiently putting up with Shikamaru's occasional lack of intelligence and one track mind (food) she's able to see a brilliant spark somewhere buried in there and tries to nurture it to it's full potential. (it also helps that she's a great cook!) somehow, they make it work, and get married with the rest of the couples, Temari giving them a son, named Shikadai a year later.
ChoKarui
part of a peace treaty between the cloud and leaf, more of an arranged marriage, and to ensure the continuation of the ino-shika-chou trio. Karui is shy and withdrawn, being in an unfamiliar village and forced into an arranged relationship, it takes some getting used to to adjust to Chouji's overwhelming stature and intelligence, known as a genius of his clan, particularly when Chouji thinks there could be a better use of his time, he finds the whole thing to be troublesome. regardless, there's something in Karui that he's fascinated by. they eventually get to know each other better, get married and have a daughter, ChouChou.
side note: NejiTen
Neji and Tenten are team mates, and work well together, despite his perverted tendencies, Tenten does have a crush on him. Neji feels the same way, and will openly admit that he has had thoughts about her like that. moving on after Hinata's marriage to Menma, he begins to spend more time with Tenten, supervising her training (since she's so accident prone and needs medical attention for her various injuries) and helping to bandage her up when she hurts herself. they eventually begin dating around the same time as the other couples, and get married, but have not yet had any children.
---
This was just a collection of on the spot headcanons XDDD there isn't much for SI, ST, or CK because i'm not as familiar with those ships as NH/SS, also a side note for NT, since Neji is ALIVE in the RTN verse, he stays alive in the AU. and because i think pretty much everyone shipped nejiten, so there you go~ the biggest problem of the canon fixed. since there's so many other dead ninja alive in the movie, i think it's only fitting that Neji gets to survive too. :)
"Shino?" the blonde called out, holding a small potted plant in her arms. " I ---" there wasn't anyone there yet. She hated waited alone, at sun down, with people walking all around her. She clutched on the plant, shuffling around and looking for the boy, which, in all honesty, she was terrified to talk to.
