Human TADC Character descriptions (Post-Circus/Pre-Return)
Because it was too much to add everything in the RTTDC AU descriptions, here’s what my versions of the characters did with their lives before having to return.
Be warned, I’m not good at summarizing, so I might be too excessive with details…
Pomni and Jax (Christine and Glenn)
Christine’s the one who struggled the least to re-adjust to reality, as her time in the circus was the shortest. But accounting started to feel way more unfulfilling, to the point that not even her little hobbies made her happy.
She decided to actually work on her YouTube channel, and do horror story/film reviews, 3am challenges the internet normally hates, and puts a spin on it (i. e. since ghosts don’t actually exist, her 3am challenges were purposely comedic. Fake poltergeisting but in a way that she’s clearly not trying to trick anyone into thinking it’s real.) —And she’d sometimes do dumb stunts in abandoned buildings, like writing a song or using the ouija board.
Because of her fame and familiar places she goes to while vlogging, Glenn managed to find her. Though he didn’t forget the fight, she was the best person to run to. He discovered search posts from his mom, and missing posters with a list of numbers to contact her. And while he felt bad, he didn’t feel comfortable living with her again. (She was too clingy.)
His initial plan was to temporarily hide out in Pomni’s house until he finds a place of his own, but he became a little famous for being a “background character” in Christine’s videos. Whether he was just minding his own business, cooking in the kitchen, or gets dragged to be her camera man or “challenge partner” —everyone thought they were dating. They had fun baiting everyone, they’re not sure if half the shit they did was baiting anymore or not though….
Because of Christine being so aggressively generous enough to lend Glenn her old laptop, to continue college online —moving out slipped from both his and her mind. After settling their… “drama”… during the circus, they enjoyed each other’s company too much. Besides, who was gonna cook Christine’s breakfast? That fire hazard of a woman couldn’t cook for shit.
Speaking of… he decided to take culinary classes. His “projects” were his and Christine’s dinner after sending documented proof. (His mom was a baker and a good cook, and he barely had any friends to kill time with. So there was barely any improvement needed in his food.)
Occasionally, whenever they’re doing “draw my life” stuff or story telling, instead of drawing “themselves” they draw their cartoon characters. Their explanation to those who ask? They first met each other through a roleplay video game. (Not far from the truth).
After reuniting with her father, they caught up. (Anne was sure she was being a bit of a moody pain… but in her defense her dad was a pushover. Now her mom was apparently dead, this was the most tentative her dad was since her youth.)
Because of her father being too old, he was about to sell the company and retire. But since she’s back, he gave her the lands and left Ragatha to run the company for a while.
During her free time though, she decided to catch up on movies and shows that everyone kept talking about. Like that “Break Bad” movie Ashi was trying to explain to her. And then came a lot more movies because they were more exciting than the vintage films her mother made her watch.
She stumbled upon Legally Blonde, and it became her favorite and her inspiration.
So she decided to sell the company anyway (keeping 20% of the ownership), so she can apply for Harvard. She graduated as a Family Law Attorney.
She’s always excited to share news to her father and Abel. Mostly Abel, because her father’s reactions have always been lukewarm, whether he meant to come off as lukewarm or not.
Abel decided to take a break from game designing, but still loved working behind the computer and 3d modeling. So after re-adjusting and getting proper medication for his dementia, he applied as a CAD Drafter.
Occasionally he’d wake up from nightmares about his wife, and the others that were still stuck in the circus. He felt guilt over the players and Caine.
He’d phone up the others and vice versa, and keep up to date of how their lives have been. Anne is the one he speaks over the phone to the most. She also spams his landline a lot because she constantly calls him about big news (graduating Harvard) and even the smallest news (her boss telling her how neat her handwriting is).
Zooble and Gangle (Ashi and Viola)
Viola struggled with her emotional problems, but thanks to Ashi she found her footing and decided to sell art online. She, of course, does regular commissions, but she earns more doing requests most commissioners would be too embarrassed to ask.
With a little practice, she opened up animation requests too. (Her requests were getting more ridiculous after that, but she can’t really be one to judge….)
Ashi didn’t really have much plans for themselves and so went back to working behind a bar. They thought of continuing Uni like Glenn, but they couldn’t really think of what they’d want to take or what they could take. Unlike whatever made Viola put a pause to art, Ashi dropped out on whim and jumped jobs to whatever was available.
Their favorite thing to do when coming home was to hear about Viola’s day. But whenever Viola returns the questions they’d keep it short and say work was “boring” as per usual. (Even when bar fights, and exposing two-timers happened once a week).
