This is the 550 BHP, four-wheel-drive RUF R Turbo featured on the front cover of the Marc Bongers ‘Porsche and RUF Sportscars’ book which fortunately for us now resides in the UK and enjoyed by its current owner. This rare R Turbo was also the star of a RUF promotional press film made at the Nurburgring in the early 2000’s. This 2002 RUF R Turbo is featured in the upcoming Silverstone Auction Porsche Sale on the 28th September. This special car can stake a claim to fame as the star of a RUF promotional video shot at the Nurburgring and is the cover model for Marc Bonger’s popular ‘Porsche and RUF Sportscars’ book. The sales estimate for Lot 211 is 180-220k GBP which seems reasonable for a RUF with such a great provenance. A RUF RTurbo. There were quite a few of these around COTA during SVRA. This particular one was & is still for sale. According to the Motostalgia auction this car has 119,000 miles on it and has 549hp, it appeared to be barely used.
