Holly fursona time! She is a Greater Bird-of-Paradise :)

I had a lot of fun designing this one - it took a LOT of experimentation for me to get the colors and that wack tail to look just right. Definitely my most complex RTVS furry design (hoping to eventually upload the others in due time!)

I chose the Greater Bird-of-Paradise because of the color scheme, as I already knew I wanted to represent Holly with some kind of tropical bird/avian furry, and was especially enticed by their long fluffy tails. Drawing that was definitely a learning experience.

I also wanted to give her a sort of "Big Bird-like" puppety proportions, with long legs and big hands (the false-paw pads were a last minute creative decision), which ultimately might make her the tallest fursona of the RTVS lineup. We'll see about that when I get to them.

This is the design that made me feel the most insane. I thought, "What the fuck kind of animal would Logmore be??"

Rat/mouse was not an option. So I took on a different approach and started looking at BUGS.

I considered stick bugs initially, but shut that idea down quickly when I realized how gimmicky that was, to turn a "log" into a "log bug" if you may. I looked instead at the praying mantis, which was a more fun starting point to draw.

But then "mantis" turned into "rainbow mantis shrimp" as I decided my heart knew what Logmore represented best: that weird crustacean known for throwing one of the fastest punches in the animal kingdom.

Cool. Alright, now give that man 4 arms.

And giving him 4 arms was probably the best decision I'll ever make out of all of these fursonas.

Eventually I settled on this design below and it stayed this way while I worked on the others - but I changed a lot of colors in the final product.

I cared a lot about posing the final design with action in mind, which is a big step for me. Learned a lot!

And I promise you when I say this is the design with the most "thinking" I had behind it. Logmore's species had to be the weirdest, I wanted that to remain stagnant. :)

Another RTVS Fuzzies has been borned. Say hello to Mike! His fursona is a hare :)

More small doodles and rambling below...

A much easier RTVS fursona to work with because I knew right from the beginning that Mike HAD to be a bunny/hare, inspired of course by his upcoming Birthday Quest game, and just because it felt right in my heart.

I was dissatisfied with leaving him a purely cream-colored hare, so I threw in a splash of purple on one ear (and pawpads and nose) without much reasoning beyond "hey it looks pretty cool" and I think it does. Yay!
