I'm sad about RTX London being cancelled, but I'm also not surprised

it never felt like the cast and crew were excited for it.

RTX Austin, they speak about all the time, promoted tickets, it's their baby of course they love it and theres no expensive transport needed, home turf

RTX Sydney, they still spoke about it all the time and promoted tickets and said how excited they were to go to sydney, in multiple podcasts, AHWUs, AH videos, you heard quite a bit that they were going to Sydney

RTX London? we heard nothing. we got the standard post of "here's when tickets are on sale!" but that was it. nobody ever talked about it. it was barely promoted. I remember getting genuinely excited because Gus actually mentioned it on the podcast for about 30 seconds. but otherwise it was never talked about. it always seemed like the community was waiting for information that we never got. it just felt like nobody was excited for it from the crew.

and even this year, obviously they just announced RTX London is not happening, but nothing else. they did a Let's Play Live tour in Australia - which, to be fair, theres still a lot of year left so we'll see if anything comes up for UK/EU - but it just felt like RTX London was another work obligation that didn't matter.

I hope something comes out for this year for UK/Europe. but I won't be surprised if they don't.

Storytime!

I was sitting outside the ExCeL Centre about half an hour after RTX London had ended, reading Jeremy's book (it's really good, you should buy it). By now everyone had pretty much left the grounds.

Now I don't have my glasses on but I'm so sure I look up just in time to see Chilled getting in a car to leave and we make eye contact and he just smiles and waves me goodbye? Like I think he actually remembered our encounter yesterday and that just makes me really happy ❤
