and here comes the Superstar! Flicker!

he’s a character from early 2017 that started out as a 17-year-old boy who flew flew flew away one day...

amidst the feelings unbefitting this storybook format he met Badass, and Badass, being one of the top four most powerful demons in the world, obviously helped him out and became Flicker’s mentor, teacher and the person solely responsible for his impressively athletic shape.

admittedly the methods were sometimes dubious, but Badass was a firm believer that there was no problem one couldn’t run away from.

later on Ru found out about the situation, softly whispered: “you are killing a Child” and joined in on helping Flicker adapt. scary from an entirely new angle: he took Flicker to different business meetings and introduced him to the world of academic writing and leather shoes.

the road was bumpy though.

at the time around the first image Flicker is 32, establishing himself as a philosopher and doing some rather important work with definitions, understandings and implications of flickers — yes, he coined that term! :- )

Here comes a hello from a family: Usagi, Ru and Badass!

Ru is a flicker (all three of them are), meaning that he can travel through different planes of existence (e.g., Main World is one, Bloodborne another). 

he is a rather important figure both as a flicker and a human: quite old and terrifyingly influential. has connections, means and status.  and a husband.

Badass is the husband.

i like to joke that they shaped the popular visual for the word “demon”. big and smoking from the nostrils of whatever skull they have for a head they are quite badass. also they are

that is a running joke. i’m thinking of making that one of the top four because it’s been two years and they are probably even more badass now. 

the married couple! Badass came to (wasn’t born) and spent their first centuries with the Ainu, while Ru grew up and lived in China and didn’t stop living, not really, so they met one day somewhere in Russia. time makes you multilingual.

but there is a third member to the family! a third wheel that stayed for so long that it felt kind of inappropriate to ask him to leave so suppose he could stay but really we have to do something about i— Usagi!

Usagi had a different name before and also was a samurai — quite fearsome but with a gentle heart — until he started “flickering” (slang of my own making, is used to mark the whole “i can feel other worlds within and throughout me and it is changing me on a molecular level”)

he started flickering and happened to get stuck in a traumatic situation and other stuff happened and i don’t know how to put it quite right but he lost it at some point and also found a stupid looking straw hat that prompted the new name.

So!

they all happened to cross paths! Ru does his important business stuff and meetings with people in suits, Badass fights and hunts but it’s kind of okay, Usagi hops in and out cutting the fabric of spacetime with his twin blades so they don’t meet Every Day but they are still a family. 

*also Ru kind of hates Usagi sometimes bcs Usagi has ZERO control now and is so chaotic that it hurts to look at him for someone as lawful as Ru so Usagi pisses Ru off on purpose sometimes because he doesn’t fear anything and everything is fun and Ru is pissed not just because his systems keep getting ruined in this “:)” way but also because Usagi brings chaos for NO reason (which is exactly how chaos works) and this whole concept drives Ru up the wall

but in all honesty they are close and good i just like making fun of these clashes : - )
