The initial encounters between my OC Stella and the TWST guys. Not necessarily the first time they’ve met but the first time they really interacted. Starting with my best boy Floyd.
Floyd: Love at First Fight

Stella was in awe when she entered Octavinelle. Crowley had asked her to make a delivery to the dorm leader, something about a restaurant? Either way, she was already lost in the underwater world. She could spot butterfly fish and coral groupers. There was even thriving coral and vegetation! Poor Stella was bursting to go inspect the gorgeous wildlife, but she had a job to do first.
After asking some of the students where to find the dorm leader, she was finally able to find him and what seemed to be his second in command in…holy cow. It was an actual restaurant! It was a little fancy feeling for her, but she found it complimented the undersea beauty of the dorm. Reigning in her excitement at all the beauty she stepped forward.
“Hello? Sorry to interrupt, are you the dorm leader?” her bright voice seemed to quickly capture their attention.
“Ah, you must be the Ramshackle Prefect. Yes, I am Azul Ashengrotto, a pleasure to meet you,” the shorter silver haired boy stepped forward. Looking at him Stella saw eyes that were too intelligent. He seemed like the kind of person who looked to use everything around him to help himself. Not a bad thing if used well.
‘Cuttlefishy’ she thought, shaking his hand. ‘He looks so squishy and huggable.’
“Lovely to meet you! The headmage sent me with a delivery that seems to have gotten mixed up.” The box in her arms drawing attention. “He said that you may have the books that were meant for the library instead of your package.”
“Ah, so that’s where our order of tea went.” The taller boy smiled, though Stella thought his smile seemed saccharine, toxically sweet. “Forgive me, I am Jade Leech, please do stop by the Lounge for a drink,” he said, taking the box from her arms.
‘Predator’ she thought, seeing the sharp teeth hidden behind his ‘kind’ smile. She could see how he was sizing her up. In this environment he reminded her or a shark or barracuda.
“Thank you! I didn’t know the school had such a lovely location. The water is so gorgeous, it complements the décor so well!” Azul seemed to swell with pride at the compliments.
The three began a discussion on what the lounge offered and what inspired the boys to open an eatery within the school. All the while they didn’t seem to notice a predatory gaze homing in on them.
Floyd had heard about the Ramshackle girl, her constant smile supposedly rivaling Kalim. He’d heard various stories about a girl who never stopped smiling, who seemed to float through the school. Some rumors even saying that she tamed monsters like Malleus and Leona. Looking at her Floyd was sure that one good squeeze would break her. Sneaking up on her was so easy, now just to give her a squeeze.
Stella found her conversation with Jade and Azul surprisingly relaxing. The two were quite pleasant despite their more predatory aspects. They had shifted to talking about teas and regional dishes when she felt a shift in the air. Growing up exploring the wild Stella had learned to sense when she was being hunted. She didn’t want to make the boys uncomfortable, sure that it was just one of the predatory fish surrounding them, but she felt herself ready for an attack.
Striking like lightening the presence seemed to slither behind her just in time for her to react. Swiftly side stepping, she grabbed hold of the beast, flipping it over her body as she pounced to pin it down. The room went silent in shock as she stared down at a boy, near identical to Jade, with one arm twisted in her hold as her free hand pinned his neck.
“Oh dear! I’m so sorry!” Stella apologized as she jumped up, pulling Floyd up with her easily. “I could have sworn a predator was stalking me again, didn’t mean to get ya all outta sorts.” She seemed to pout as she dusted a silent Floyd off.
“A-again!? You’ve been stalked by predators before!?!” Azul shrieked as the situation began to finally click in his brain.
“Oh yeah, tigers, lions, bears. Not much to worry ‘bout there,” she waved it off, Jade’s eyes gleaming at the statement. “It’s the prey you really gotta worry ‘bout. Predators gotta think you’re worth the fight, prey fight to live.”
A silent second passed before Floyd burst out laughing -Jade gave his own unique chuckle.
“Ah. I wanted to give Shrimpy-chan a squeeze, but I got the big surprise.”
“Oh, you wanted a hug. All ya had to do was ask mate.” Stella happily chirped, pulling Floyd into a tight hug that actually lifted him off the ground. The Octavinelle trio still surprised at her strength. As she put him back on the floor Floyd was in a fit of laughter.
“Shrimpy isn’t Shrimpy anymore! Need to find a better name for her!” his manic giggles filled the room as he began ruffling her hair. In the middle of all the laughter Stella noticed something as she looked at Floyd. Her eyes seemed to light up, both her hands cupping his face to get a clearer look.
“Are those pharyngeal jaws!?” Her tone was full of awe, her whole aura seeming to change. Who knew someone could stun the trio so much? She looked at Floyd like she had found a gem. Spotting what looked like slight discoloration by his loose collar she shifted, a little gasp leaving her lips.
“Oh! Are those gills?” Her sparkling eyes starring back at Floyd’s face with a massive smile.
Why was is face so hot? Why was she so cute looking at him like that? Why did he want her to flip him again? Floyd was used to being the chaotic one, but this was new, someone to meet his energy.
“You’re a merman aren’t you? Oh this is so amazing!” Stella gushed, seeming to quickly circle Floyd to look for anymore clear animalistic traits. “We don’t have any real merfolk back home, just stories. But this!” She spread her eyes, motioning to Floyd in wonder- please stop Floyd is getting cute aggression. “This is incredible!”
“D’aw, Manatee-chan thinks that I’m incredible.” Floyd tried playing it off as he pulled Stella in for a squeeze – it was more gentle than most were used to seeing Floyd. Jade gave a clipped smile, observing the situation and Floyd’s quick change in nickname. Azul was still loading, what do you mean the magicless human dealt with deadly predators on the normal?!?! (Someone please reboot him)
“Looking at you’re physique you’re clearly a predator. Strong swimming muscles,” She began to lift one of Floyd’s arms, capturing the boys’ attention. “If height does align between human and mer-forms like the book I’ve been reading said, you’re a longer and larger marine creature.” She began to grumble as she poked Floyd’s side, getting a giggle out of the eel. “With the pharyngeal jaw, I’d put my best guess on an eel-so cute!” Cue smug Jade and Floyd, and Azul screaming in the background questioning how demon eels could be cute.
“Looking at you both,” Stella placed a hand to her chin, glancing between the twins. “You’re colorations, you can’t be a ribbon eel… no spots like a conger eel, hmm. I’d say you two are either a sawtooth eel or a moray!” She ended her assessment quite proud, the boys stunned that she’d been so spot on. Most land dwellers usually just assumed the tweels were sharks or something since they were large and intimidating.
“My my, I’m quite surprised with your knowledge, we are indeed moray eels. I didn’t think a land dweller would be able to read us so well. You have quite a bit of knowledge,” Jade chuckled as he began to lean in, only to be stopped by Floyd.
“Don’t even think about it Jade, Manatee-chan is my lil friend now.” Floyd snapped, baring his jaws at his brother.
“Oh? And where did that name change come from Floyd?” Jade teased, wondering if Stella would be his new short-term fixation.
“Manatee-chan is calm, always happy, and totally chill around predators like us. She’s just floating along,” Floyd’s point was proven as Stella seemed perfectly at peace trapped in his grip.
“That’s a cute nickname! I’m so glad I made a new friend!” Her genuine cheer and relaxed nature just seemed to stun them all again. Azul wasn’t sure if he should be impressed or worried for her. Jade just smiled, interested in just how far her calm attitude would stretch. Floyd on the other hand-
“Let’s go Manatee-chan! I gotta show you the best spot in this crummy school… Hey, can you lift me again, or was this just a way you fight off attacks?” And just like that Floyd was carried off, cheering as he had his cute little manatee tour him around campus.
Notes:
The Tweels and Stella are almost the same height, top of her head is eye level with them.
Stella actually handles Floyd's moods near perfectly, taming his bad moods and running off his extra energy.
She also is the only one to 'squeeze' him, willingly.
Stella's hugs are almost on par with Floyd's squeeze, though most are willing to receive hugs.
Floyd is VERY clingy to Stella and whines if she doesn't give him attention.
The two of them bond over their love of shoes. Floyd actually loves her crocodile sandals and is always looking for more animal themed things for her.
All three boys plan to take her to take her for a trip to the Coral Sea. Floyd is looking forward to showing her all the big scary beasts of the sea. (She would love that so much)
Redesigned Aspen!!! Her lore is still MOSTLY the same except for these things
Her climbing gear is mostly because safety instead of being how she climbs
She's read the spawn cult religious book thing front to back multiple times and refuses to follow rules that aren't stated by it unless reasonable (like being back at sundown) which is why she regularly just sort of. Goes out. And refuses to wear standard clothing because it just says a depiction of the spawn needs to always be visible on one's person.

Phill is friends with my other oc, Stella, and both of them are roughly the same age as the hatzgang! (Which Stella is also friends with @onceinaknifetime s OCs wink wink nudge nudge 😁)

Phill is half-Japanese on his mother's side as he moved to SpookyTown a while ago to live with his aunt, Hiroko, since he was lonely living in rural Japan and she wanted to give him a better life with her. (Though he's still shy around people and has social anxiety)
Hiroko is part tengu (a bird-like youkai with the power to control the wind) and is the only one taking care of Phill as he lives with her, keeping watch of him and his extra mouth as he learns to control it since obviously only they can know their true selves between each other and not others (this being until someone else found out about his secret, which was seen in the comic with @itsnotmourn s Winifred)
Any other facts about him hmmmmm.......he likes dark chocolate and his favorite insects are beetles! 🪲uh yeahh that's him yeah the backstory 😁✨
He has three sisters! He, himself is the second child of their parents, right after Tatiana, who is aplatonic and autistic, and currently on college (I'm still deciding her major). The third sibling, Luna, is reaching highschool and is pretty cunty. She is multigender but hasn't found out yet. Then there is the youngest, Stella, who is still on primary school. She's very sweet
