orientation!
my rutgers orientation was yesterday and it was overnight so i came home this afternoon. it was a fun two days! im so glad i went !
Meet Jade:
I absolutely loved my orientation. I had dreams of playing soccer at other universities until I broke my ankle in my senior year which limited my chances of playing. My parents felt as if Rutgers was the best new choice whereas I thought Rutgers was too large and too close to home. I reluctantly went to orientation and was waiting for the next two days to end. To my surprise my orientation was one of the greatest two days and I could not believe that Rutgers was not my one and only choice from the start. I still keep in touch with the students from my orientation group to this day. I decided I wanted to change students’ lives just like my orientation leader changed mine. I applied to be a part of The New Student Orientation and Family Programs and luckily received the opportunity to be a Rutgers Orientation Leader. So far this has been the BEST experience of my life. I will never forget the moment when a student from my group came up to me at the end of a two day session and said “Thank you so much. You really made my experience awesome and now I cannot wait to be a scarlet knight!” I am so grateful to be in an organization with a diverse mix of the most genuine people representing the amazing university we all know as Rutgers!!!
RU Orientation!! :))
I had SUCH a blast at orientation for Rutgers! Most college orientations are so boring and all you do is listen to lectures, but NOT this one. Granted, there were a few lectures, but they weren't so horrible. The whole day was fun and I loved spending time with my group and seeing how easy it was to make friends - since I am so nervous and shy I was so worried I would be the awkward one but I just relaxed and had a fun time and it was AWESOME!! I seriously can not wait for the fall and I really want to try to be an orientation leader next year :) Shoutout to Chris's group session 12!!!! Can't wait for the fall! :)
