Hey my orientation is tomorrow and I havent gotten an email about what lane or orientation leader Im going have. What should I do?
I’m assuming you got the registration confirmation email?
Either way, just com to orientation and when you get into the check in lounge, tell one of the orientation leaders. Sometimes the system misses students but we can easily drop you into a group. We’re excited to see you tomorrow!!

Ladies and gentlemen, here’s a first look at this AMAZING group of Scarlet Knights!
Do i really have to bring sheets for the beds for the night i'm staying? Because i don't have any right now so I don't know what to do.
You don't have to bring sheets if you can't or don't want to. A sleeping bag works as well, as does taking another blanket and putting it under you. Or you could just bring one blanket and sleep right on the mattress. It is suggested that you bring something to cover the bed you will be sleeping on as it is a resident apartment bed and other people have slept on them before you. But do whatever works for you.
Am I going to be randomly assigned to an OL along with the other people in my group?
Yes, you will be randomly assigned an OL. You should get an email from them about a week prior to the session you sign up for.
How exactly do the sleeping arrangements work? Will I be able to stay in the same place as my friends that I already know? Or do you randomly assign students to different rooms?
You get randomly assigned to an apartment, and within that, a random room. It's a great opportunity for you to meet new people do make new friends!

"What is one mantra you live by every single day?"
"Just try to genuinely care about everybody that you interact with. Make them feel, not comfortable in the sense to be, ya know, normal so that they don’t feel uncomfortable but show them that they can say anything they want with out judgment and do anything they want with out judgment. You’re not going to worry about them, you’re not going to be afraid of them, you’re not scared of them, ya know, that you just love them no matter what.
I think people are all that other people have, we don’t have anything else. You can pretend that you have other things but I think, in the end, people and what inspires you about the world, but what we all share is people that’s it. What passions were you able to explore at Rutgers?
I have been granted the opportunity to pursue my artistic and innovative passions through theatre. Performing, stage managing, and directing were pursuits that I never thought I'd be able to follow in college, and yet, I have been able to. Because of this, I love Rutgers and the endless opportunities it provides students to develop themselves outside of the classroom, and for me, in the theatre.

"Coming from a very small private school I had always envisioned myself continuing my education at a small liberal arts school where all the teachers knew my name. However as decision day approached I realized that financially it would be more pragmatic to attend Rutgers. Both of my parents went here so I did not want to come simply because I didn't want to conform. When I really thought about it I knew that my parents were right, I needed to broaden my horizons and challenge myself to new things. I accepted my fate and prepared to come here. Before my orientation I wasn't pumped to be a Scarlet Knight. I was satisfied with my decision but my heart was not in it. After I left my orientation I was so excited. Rutgers is an amazing institution with amazing opportunities. I just couldn't wait to get back in the fall and experience everything Rutgers has to offer. To this day I have only gotten more excited be a Scarlet Knight. Though my journey was long and at times disappointing I cannot imagine myself at any other university and I am honored to called Rutgers my home."

I love it so much that if you bought me one you would probably become BAE
"What's your favorite college experience thus far?" "Joining RUPA. It definitely has made me a more personable person. It has worked on my social skills to the point where I enjoy talking to new people. It has helped me grow in the sense of being involved and event planning. And honestly I couldn't imagine college without the thirty friends I've made in RUPA. It's why it's my favorite group."

"Pool was fun we played for like two hours. Meeting all the new people and making new friends. And the food was surprisingly good."
