Cuphead: Baroness Von Bonbon
Oh boy! A game that rewards (???) the player with puns during boss battles! I must fan-art this! I love how relentlessly 3d the designs in Cuphead are. They might still look good keeping the same forms while adding different painting or rendering styles. She started looking freaky in a different way when I plopped those pixar-y eyeballs in! Who should be painted in this style next?
A redone version of my previous Baiken fan art :) I changed the composition, colors of the atmospherics and fixed some lighting issues, and I got help from Artgerm with the anatomy, since I kept getting her centerline lost in new gigantic... hair. Yup, yup, my waifu from 1998 is back and still has only the one arm :P
Nova from Starcraft 2! This commission was for a 60 inch tall poster, so it was really slowing down my pc near the end!
For the lighting reference, I mocked up a figma with a tiiiny wooden Ghost Canister Rifle to figure out where the colored lights would land.
The cyberpunk theme includes the mandatory chromatic aberration lol The Starcraft franchise is close to my heart despite it all. It was my first published comics job, and I play the ladder nearly every day This commission was done for 250 USD and took 2 weeks to complete.

Val - August 2017 redesign
A piece developed with input and help from some of my instructors here at 3dsense, Artgerm, Kunkka, and Kai Lim! This is my current knowledge of lighting and rendering different materials!
The most recent version of my original character. Her archetype has shifted over the years, but I think I'm getting there...
Val is a sneaky, "prestige" leader type, preferring to just give suggestions instead of direct orders so her guys don't turn off their brains when doing their jobs. She rarely uses her weaponry in combat, and is much more comfortable using charisma, guile, and negotiation to get things done.
She's holding an ancient (probably replica) M79 grenade launcher aka the "pirate gun". Despite wielding a museum piece, the shells she uses are freshly fabricated and full of smarts. The greenish brace on her leg is to help with her drop foot, caused by an old injury.
I'm still thinking of the branding of her security group. They resemble a startup security company taking on coast guard roles.
