To answer your question about Emerald, she hit Yang with the Whammy, not the entire audience.

Oh ok, so she made Yang believe Mercury was attacking her, so Yang really did walk up to him apparently unprovoked and just hit him in the knee. Thanks! I’m really tired right now can you tell? >_>

I want your opinion on this. If there had to be a character to represent Fire Emblem: Fates in Smash, who would you have chosen?

that is a really tough question, like i thought about it for a while the other day 

i think of marx and ryouma when i think fates, but it would be hard to have both in, and though they’re important to us as foils, they aren’t the icon of the game on their own. They’re both an antagonist and a supporting character so maybe they could be one slot? It would be really iffy though, unless Fates was doing as well as LOZ

Kamui is the avatar character but i just don’t know if they’ll be as relatable as robin BUT the game has yet to come out so i can’t make any judgment on that until we all play it, I’m hoping I’m wrong, but with Robin you got to be some nobody that shapes their fate however they want based off their own skill, and people were freely able to make up their own background stories about Robin however they pleased. 

Kamui is a prince/princess, someone already born into some position of power, is some dragon thingy, and just feels less personable. Kamui is the first lord you can play as, but nintendo hasn’t shown us anything else (considering it hasn’t been localized yet). I think Kamui’s justification (as an icon) really will be found when we all play the game, and with how much we can connect to them/our MU 

But I think Aqua would be it. I find her a little bland but she’s the hitori omou girl, always singing and probably important as hell. She’s probably going to hold symbolic importance so it would be her, and then Kamui. I love Kamui though but it’s just a little premature to me, because only the hardcore fans like us are the ones researching and looking up supports and whatnot, most people are going to be like wtf is going on right now, which is totally understandable. I just don’t feel like there’s anything iconic about Fates yet.

Awakening was what saved the series after all, and for good reason, everyone was memorable and it was just really fun, even if the story was simple, you all still loved it, so it makes sense(ish) that Robin and Lucina is there. Lucina was the big world changing chara there, and Aqua looks like she’s the equivalent in this game. 

I tend to be happy easily though, you could have put Anna or idk...Luna, Lazlo Lazwald, and Odin in and I’d be like yay Fire Emblem

I figured the fact that Olivia could allow a single character to move twice in one turn would make you love her more. She could help you get at those juicy throat meats even faster, right?

Haha, yeah, that’s one way to look at it! I just feel it’s more useful to give her spot to a unit who can participate in the ass-kicking rather than spend time and resources to keep her safe and at a useful distance from everyone. It’s just a preference, really, I enjoy a straightforward offensive over a more methodical approach (basically I’m all about the Less-Thinking-More-Spanking routine).
