So I just watched a playthrough of Threshold
Full playthrough of Threshold, a new, short, odd little lo-fi horror game. High in the mountains, an endless train thunders through a decayi
I find it very interesting so I'm gonna copy-paste my thoughts on it:
IMO, this game is touching on themes of globalization, colonialism or even imperialism. Whichever country you choose keeps itself at the top (you're literally at the mountain top) by exponentially piling corpses abroad where they can't do anything but to take it. Litterally filling the world with so much bloodshed that it eventually spills back inside.
What would be interesting to find out is which countries are harder and which ones are easier. Specifically, I'm more curious about how they are distributed in that scale (or even if they affect the game's stats somehow). What I'd also like to know is how early can you get NI's whistle. Can you dig up his grave the moment that you get the bucket and stop/send back the train early on? Or do you have to wait until the border starts falling apart?
