Ruby is shown singing in so many of the photos? She was a singer?? Did she and Clay meet on stage???

Ruby's a character we really don't see a lot of, even in the movie, so I'm glad I was able to comm some fanart of her. Some day I'll have to list my many, many HCs for her.

Clay x Ash Prompt #5
Clay has a dream that he has a conversation with Ruby about his relationship with Ash. He's ashamed she has to see him loving another woman but she's nothing but supportive and happy that he's no longer lonely.
She explains that new love doesn't negate old love. Your heart has enough room for all kinds of love. No need to think one may be pushed out.
He wakes up smiling and crying as Ash cuddles with him, asking if he had a good dream.

Also forgot to make a post about this from the last time I asked this, but I hc Ruby having varying mobility needs, so like yeah she has a wheelchair but doesnt always need to use it. <33
Ok so super late on this one bc I did a couple sketches to try and get it right and just decided I. Couldn't. This topic is one I have limited experience with so I'll just gently put it down and let others do with it what they will. Aaaand this hc is a bit sad so hAPPY VALENTINES DAAAAY
Anyway if I remember right, Ruby has a wheelchair but I didn't see any accommodations for her in the house, soooo... I think Clay was in the middle of trying to figure out how to install a chair lift on those u-turn stairs for Ruby when she passed. The rest of the supplies sat at the bottom of the stairs for a long time before he finally felt brave enough to move them to the garage.

Ruby can actually sing! In fact, many times Clay would whip out his guitar or hop on the piano, and Ruby and him--they would just.. sing. None of these really ever reached any studio, though. It was a "in-the-moment" thing. Clay would always remember saying she had a voice sweet like honey butterscotch.

So like remember the telescope in this scene? What if like Pre-SIng 2 he kept looking for Ruby in the sky after she passed away. Like you know the idea of when someone dies, they become a star? YEAH

like, Ruby is just looking at him being heartbroken, and she is heartbroken herself, seeing him constantly looking for her. Deep down he knows she’s gone for good, but is still struggling to accept that.
Also also also. I just realized a connection. Telescope. Out of This World. I don’t really know what you could pull from that, I just thought it was neat.
