Here it is! The final look of the hoodie and the cape. I did hand sewing parts at the ears, the fur parts and the ribbon but other than that, everything else is machine sewed. To estimate, I made the cape and the hoodie part for 5 days. :) More #ProjectCatGirl posts here. Full FB Album here.

I really had the hardest time making this project, one of which is figuring out how to get the ribbon and the bell connected with the hoodie. So going through my stash, I have decided to sew the hook part at the ribbon and sew the eye part to the ribbon. ~ and ta-daaah! It held up just fine. Another part of the hoodie is the cat ear. I use soft felt for both the black and red part and ladder stitched it to the hoodie base. More #ProjectCatGirl posts here. Full FB Album here.

And so I have realized that I haven't posted the rest of the progress of my Ruby Cat Girl commission. Here's the hoodie part. I'm really not good at measuring things and creating patterns, so I traced the size of the hoodie with one of my sweatshirts and just added half an inch for the stitches. There's this diamond part at the center of the hoodie that I don't know what material to use, so in order to have the same color with the bell details, I just cut off a diamond shape from a white hard felt scrap and painted with the same cutics I used with the bell. Done with the paws for Ruby Cat Girl. These paws are extra huge as you can see. 😄 The materials I've used are Faux [for the black part], Fleece [for the pink part] and Water _____ [for the white part]. The nails were cut off from an old pvc pipe I have stashed. If you drive your heatgun with it, you can cut the pvc pipe with scissors and mold it like nails. :) I then covered it with emulsion and used a grey primer to paint. I also used lining [peach twill] for the paws since the wrong side of the faux is rough. There's no stuffing though as requested by the client. The creation of this took me two days to finish, I include the time I consumed when pinning since it was soooooo hard pinning faux. 😥
