hello to the 5 the darkest minds fans
happy belated birthday oomf @imisslittleme 🤗❤️
I'm having my yearly crash out over Cole Stewart's death being somewhat unnecessary and absolutely devestating because we missed out on so much of what his story could have been.
We could've gotten him and Lucas bonding over being reds, and cole finally coming to peace with himself. Knowing and believing that he wasn't a monster.
Him and Liam finally talking things out and repatching their relationship, and eventually, with time, cole stops feeling so out of place in his own family.
COLE AND RUBY my sweethearts I wish we got to see their friendship continue to grow and bloom. To see cole side with ruby through everything, partly to annoy Liam but mostly becuase that's his gem, the person who was always there for him (platonically).
Cole deserved so much more than what he got.
‘i fear only one person has truly ever understood me and i fucking hate the guy’ but it’s ruby looking back at her and cl*ncy in the first book
do you guys ever think about how whenever ruby daly is taken and gravely injured she uses liam, chubs, zu, jude, vida, cole, etc to get through those times and to keep herself going, but she never actually thinks THEY will come and save her?
The darkest minds was such a dark series and people needed to appreciate that more. I know it was overshadowed by larger series that came out around the same time, but that series genuinely kept me up at night because it how disturbing it was. Because the hard part is—I think that’s exactly how our world would react and that’s terrifying.
I know romance is loved or needed for a lot of people when reading a series, but I love how it felt like there wasn’t too much of it in the series. It had this balance that I still love and look for in books. Like oh my gosh Liam Stewart I love you.
Honestly the series is so criminally underrated and having no one to rant about it to is so sad. Not cause people won’t listen to me rant (I have friends who will) but because I don’t know a soul who’s read this series that pains me in the same way aftg pains me.
Challenge: men stop trying to hit on/assault/be creepy to Ruby every 30 seconds
I don't know if this ongoing trend is due to the lack of girls or from ruby being the hottest being on earth since nearly everyone's dead but either way JUST LEAVE HER ALONE MAN
Can't even blame her for thinking Oranges are monsters considering that out of the 2 she had contact with, one would have assaulted her if he had the chance, and the other one DID
the pet name “darling” belongs to liam stewart. it works when he says it. it’s cringy when that gross purple bat says it.
I still think Liam Stewart might be one of the greenish flag fictional dystopian book men ever exists..
my man has no socially violent personality, has charisma, thoughtful, kind -even though he experienced too many traumatic things himself as well- and still acts so innocent and good! to everyone! and open to talking things through rather than ignoring..
-it's been a while since I read the books so I may have forgotten some events/plots but I feel like the hype on him is not enough on "green flag book mens"-
(and I really loved watching Harris Dickinson in the movie as him!)
