i'm trapped forever now

It’s been one year since we lost our elderly rescue Ruby. We only had her a couple of months but she was a great babysitter to Nikki and Bries rittens.

i zoned out heavy while watching drag race and she kinda just , appeared on me

bonus : as i was typing this , my dog has overthrown the cat and plopped himself in my lap

We lost our sweet little foster rat today. Ruby passed away peacefully in her sleep. We only had her a couple of months and she was such a sweet little rat. Cleo was a bitch to her so we had to keep them apart but Nikki & Brie would have sleepovers and play with her as often as possible. Ruby loved to play with the babies when we had them and really seemed to enjoy having them around (in small doses).

We think she was a couple of years old. She wasn’t in any pain but got lethargic in the last 24 hours. I cuddled her as much as I could last night, gave her a pat this morning before work and when I got home she was gone. She just went to sleep and didn’t wake up. It’s a good way to go.

We’ll miss you Ruby girl.

even when she's out of focus
