So I don’t know if I’ll ever actually do anything with this, but I had a half-asleep thought of a Witcher spaghetti western!au for my boi Ruby and had to share it. Tagging @heroics-and-heartbreak and @ficsandcatsandficsandcats because I think you might appreciate this madness too lolol
Ruby as the local barkeep and owner of the bar who also is an incredibly skilled pianist; he has been known to take requests to play during slow times. He also has the bar’s piano moved over to the church every year so he can play it for Christmas services and it’s kind of become a local tradition at this point. He and Jaskier definitely have an on-again, off-again thing but neither one really has wanted to commit (yet)
Jaskier as the for-hire ranch hand who is always hanging out at the bar and getting into minor trouble and getting on Gerolt’s nerves constantly as a result. He really just likes camping under the stars and playing guitar and is definitely not out west because his family back in Boston didn’t approve of his bisexuality why would you even suggest such a thing nervous laughter
Gerolt as the gruff, unwilling sheriff who really dgaf and mostly lets little stuff work itself out. He will always mount up on his trusty old horse, Roach, and deal with the really big problems that actually threaten his town. He secretly actually likes his job but Jaskier makes him question just how much some days
Yennifer as the bounty hunter/mysterious lone wolf cowboy type, (you know the type I mean). She definitely hasn’t been seen once or twice slipping out the back of the local sheriff’s office at night by a half drunk and mildly jealous Jaskier, who always “forgets” by the time he sobers up (lol)
