The first thing Ruby noticed was the bright fucking sunlight. God, her head was throbbing and the sunlight felt like a piercing blade through her skull. She let out a small groan as she turned her face slightly. Her cheek lightly bumped into another, but the fact that there was another person in bed with her didn’t quite register yet. Slowly, she forced herself to move. Clearly hungover, she felt herself seriously regretting those drinks last night. She really should’ve thought it through. She wasn’t 15 anymore. Not that she was drinking at 15, of course. That was illegal.
She sat up, immediately feeling dizzy, but steeling herself through it. She reached for the bedside table, grabbing the bottle of water that was there. The blanket hanging off her chest fell and she was suddenly very aware of the fact that she was naked. After a sip she set the bottle down. Now more aware, she glanced at the woman in bed beside her. Oh, god. What was with her and bringing strangers home? The woman looked familiar, but Ruby shrugged it off. She’d just grab her shit and go wait downstairs. The chick would wake up and leave eventually.
She swung her legs over the side of the bed and wrapped the blanket around herself, lightly scratching at her skull. The metal was the next thing the hungover woman was aware of. Her stomach dropped as she felt dread rise inside of her. That better not be what she thought it was.
Of course, it was. The ring shone in her face like a fucking flashlight. “Fuck.” She slid off the bed, looking at the woman in bed with her. It didn’t take much looking to see the ring on the other woman’s finger, too. Why did they both get rings. “Fuck! Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.”
Oh god. This was so cliche. This couldn’t be happening. “Oi, wake the fuck up!”
