She was soaked from the rain. Standing outside his door, building up the strength to knock, took longer than she’d thought. She’d been the one to walk out on them when she’d caught him getting back into drugs, it was only fit that she ironically was the one who was right back to him. When she started shivering, she decided she had to force herself, and she raised a violently shaking hand to knock on the door.
