The night sky was nearly coated with glistening stars, radiating their light onto the darkened streets. Letting her gaze wander upwards, she strolled a step or two closer from her previous stance so as to truly appreciate the scenery ahead of her—For, it was beauty like that which acted as a reminder for a photographer like herself. It was a moment she wanted to capture on film for all it was worth. The key to taking the perfect snapshot involved both precision and perfection in that she wanted her emotions to wholeheartedly emanate themselves.
Gripping her camera as tightly as she could, she brought her gaze back forward and positioned herself to show whom exactly she was speaking to (not that there were others around, but it would be considered ignorant to talk without direct confrontation): “Say, do you think I’d be able to take a good picture from here? I don’t know about you, but I for one find stars fascinating. They bring warmth, you know? In a sense, I think it’s touching.. –The way they illuminate everything, that is.”
He’d thought it odd at first that he was the one being addressed, her prior actions of admiration of the night sky, made him shy away from talking to her, thinking she was lost in a world of her own, her ruby red hair and vibrant green eyes, made her think she was almost unearthly and that she was yearning to a home somewhere up in the stars, so in the same she was admiring the stars he’d unexpectedly been admiring her.
“They are fascinating indeed, yet they hold so much more meaning than warmth alone, the stars above us are constantly moving, in a way the night sky is a picture in of itself, because what we see and what has truly happened are on scales greater than even we can imagine, some stars that we see now could have been destroyed ages ago, and we only continue to see it because of how far we are..” Van said in a low mutter, his gaze turned to view the sky. “Personally I find the sky to be an amazing painting that is always and constantly changing.. But I suppose you didn’t ask me much of my own opinion,” The young man stated realizing he’d gone off on his own tangent and was rambling now.
“There’s a better view, but it’s a little bit of a climb, I don’t know if you want to capture the stars as they are now, if so, now’s your best chance to do so, if you don’t mind a bit of exercise I know of a better place where the lights don’t interfere so much.”
