I am VERY INTRIGUED by plot for the third in the hope series 👀👀

this is the third fic following ‘hope lost on yesterdays’ and ‘hope borne out of toil’ ; similar to the second installment, this fic follows a divergence in canon where Morfin lives. I think I kinda psyched myself out from writing it because it was both similar to the events in the show but with this huge web of a butterfly effect with small details changed.

The main difference is that Tozer and Little are intimate at this point, so Tozer doesn’t get roped into most of Hickey’s mutiny attempts, but Irving, Farr, and the Netsilik family are still murdered. When Crozier and several of the crew go to investigate, the fog appears and Tuunbaq attacks the camp.

So the mutiny still kinda happens. The gallows scene does not, and in the aftermath of the mutineers’ disappearance and Tuunbaq’s attack, Little and Fitzjames decide to move the camp forward ; leaving a small cairn for Crozier to find when he returns.

also this moment because UGH: (I want a scene where, following the exit of Crozier’s party that Little goes to Tozer, wanting to be with him, or sends another officer to fetch Tozer where Hickey’s jab of “does it make you feel powerful, bedding an officer? Fucking a man who could have you hanged for it?” which Little or the officer 100% hears)

Yes, please! I’ve made a couple but there definitely need to be more - the short hair and beard is such a good look for him! :)
