i had some calculations i had to make for. reasons

This Ruby and Peridot were traveling to some far off colony with a cache of technology when suddenly something in the engines broke and the ship crashed on an undiscovered planet. They were the only two survivors, with the other four rubies shattering on impact.

Unfortunately for these two, they absolutely HATE each other, and now that they're the only company they have on this planet, they're gonna have to learn to deal.

Peridot has the know-how to fix the ship, but they're going to need a lot of replacement parts to get it working again. Not only that, but there is plenty of hostile wildlife, which Ruby can generally handle.

Basically, this all culminates in them having this toxic codependency where they really cannot just go their separate ways and have a decent chance of getting out of here. That's not gonna stop them from fighting contantly though.

Funfact about Sam, they like to eat, but since they dislike the taste and texture of most actual food, they instead usually eat 'nonedible' things such as wires, plastic, charcoal and batteries, they have no regrets

she's like an uh!! well she's a "cinnabar moth" hybrid - her lil' bug wings are too fragile to be this big, and if she forced flying they'd tear, so she can actually only fly by attaching the wings to an elytra as a stronger frame, but doesn't need fireworks in order to propel herself upwards.

and you know the "drawn like a moth to the flame" thing? yeah that's her except she starts the flames. as in commits arson for fun - though tnt is really cool too, it's just the more expensive version.

pretty sure she can turn yellow because. i found out cinnabars moth can also be yellow and my brain went brr, might have something to do with eating golden apples?

cinnabar moths are some of the few day-flying moths! she's out in the day, not at night. she's also afraid of bats even if they're a lot smaller than her because, y'know, natural predators. so doesn't like them flying around in caves.

the bright red coloring is supposed to mean "danger" and scare away predators, but it doesn't tend to work so she carries around a bow!

she also likes dandelions the best because they're yellow which is the same color as the main flower cinnabar moths feed on.

also for some irl ruby lore, i uh, have a really bad memory! like an actually terrible one! i need to write stuff down when i'm in minecraft because i get easily lost and disoriented, so she carries around a memory book - but like, i actually did it before it was cool, i swear.
